how do nexens stretch? just curious because i always recommend those tires to those doing normal setups, and if they worked for stretching id recommend those also to stretchers. nexen n3000 ftw!

There's no way I'd put a 245 on a 10.5 inch wide rim. That's beyond unsafe. That's near suicidal.

I almost forgot, I have 245/35s on my 9.5" fronts and honestly I think that slight stretch is dangerous for the rim. So many more chances to curb your rim.

Why not just get the 285's in the first place?

Ive been rocking n3000's forever! They stretch real nice and they're cheap :] For everyone saying a 245 on a 10.5 ISN'T safe at all, please just stfu. It's soooo annoying when people talk so much about things they know NOTHING about.

Pretty naive for you and others in the stretch fad to think so little of the tire engineers, etc who do it for a living. There is a reason they put out recommended tire sizes per wheel width...... It destroys the structural integrity of the tire and that is a fact. I don't really care to get into a big argument about it, but it looks silly and is unsafe.

I found a good deal on tires and that is 265 40 18. I still need to get adjustable camber, and fender roll. im not ready for that and i need replacement tires now so i took those tires.

I would definately stick to 265, 275 or 285 on a 10.5" rim.

Only reason to go smaller is if you are slammed with low offsets and the only reason to go wider is if you're FI or track often.

I'm running a 255 on a 10.5" rim (slammed and low offsets) and have never had any problems.

Considering I've been selling tires for years through my shop, I think I would know the limits of safe and unsafe.

haha yall make me laugh

245 isnt even a huge stretch for a 10.5

but i agree with jduet, there is no point in running stretched tires unless your low with cool offsets, or if your using it for the purpose of drifting

lmao....."cool offset" huh? Why not run a proper offset so can run a suitable tire?

not to join the debate about stretch or no stretch, but if the shop doesn't have a "CHEETAH" or know what one is they don't work on enough aftermarket wheel and tires to be doing the work
