This is a 1 in a million misfortune. Luckily the bolt did not come through the windshield and hit you in the head.

Your car is insured correct?

Damn that is nuts! But I do see a lot of construction/garbage haulers that loose **** on our freeways daily. It sucks too because in CA there are hardly any laws that protect our rights as drivers from this stuff from happening. Unless you saw this bolt fall off a truck, and can prove it, this will come out of your pocket. I feel your pain and I hope this will not cost you a lot of cash.

Know your pain! Recently hit a truck tire tread in heavy traffic and it ripped my bumper up, the liner underneath and caused an exhaust leak on my 07 HR with only 9,950 miles on it all you can do is eat it. Granted it's not a damaged volk but still I have to put the money up for a new bumper/paint and exhaust.

Thats impressive. Here in NY I hear all sorts of stories of people running over random stuff but what you've got there is like a million to one shot lol.

Should be repairable though with a good shop.

Your wheel has rematerialized at the wrong time. Just turn the phantom mode back on and pull it out.
