I am, 295/35/19 KDWs. Ive driven my car alot on them around 570/570 and most of the time it will hook 3rd. Last night i drove it at the new power level in ~50* weather and it still hooked 3rd with 664ft-lb. I would like to run something stickier to hook in 2nd but I drive it to much to be realistic.

That's good to hear they hook decently. They have a pretty decent tread wear too?

Yea thats why i continue to buy them, i've had them since the stock block so they have been at 480rwhp+ the entire time and currently have 8k miles on them and need to be flipped. So about 15k if you flip them when the inside wears.

i have nt01r's on the 260z, and it hooks great and handles amazingly. bit different than the 350 though.. 2200lbs and 340ish torque, 255/45R17. only about 3k miles on them, not sure how much longer they'll last but they are my favorite tire so far.

300zx has 275/35r18 nt555r, and they are pretty damn good as a street tire. 500tq. hooks good and drivable in the rain.

I loved my evo12's on my 350, hooked good and got decent miles and great in the rain, but they don't have the size i need. I pulled consistant 1.8 60ft with them at the track, 265 on stock wheels at the time.

not a fan of my invos. quiet, good in the rain, but not very sticky at all. 295/35R18. they also feel a bit squishy in the corners.

and for laughs.. i ran a set of chinese FullRun's once.. 255/45R18...
Best hooking street tire ever. Lasted a ridiculous amount of time. But, it was attempted suicide to drive them in the rain. They were about $70 a piece just to throw on my stockers.

Absolutely not. They are barely good at the 250whp level.

can someone please explain to me the whp limits of tires.....

are we are assuming they are all 305's or something, I think the tire size would matter to how much whp it can hold, or maybe i missed something

rs3's are good at about 300 whp, but still lose traction in a stright line( with out a burn out before to warm up)

WIll be boosted in a month, will report how the same tires still hold.

its alll about tire compound. width doesnt make much impact, if your alignment is proper. theres a entire drag racing class called x275 where they can only use 275 width drag radials and they are cutting 1.3x 60' and traps into the 170s.

heck, the 10.5 class is only a 10.5" width, that like a 275 - 295 tire as well.

you want the best traction, you dont buy street tires. You buy DOT rated R-compounds.

^^ i think alignment can mean more than width as well. if youre only riding weight on the inside corner of the tread, it doesnt really matter much at all if you add another inch on the outside because its hardly being pressed into the ground. they will wear in a little bit but not enough. my 350z looked just fine with around -1 camber in the back. my 370z at -1.5 right now looks dumb like it has positive camber

i wonder if anyone will ever make a tire with a tilted tread, say 1.5 - 2 degrees, so with that camber you get full contact.

Agreed. Additionally, cars with no suspension travel suck up a lot of grip. People focus on BIG tires, then get rubber bands for tires on slammed cars with stiff suspension - then complain.

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of camber for cornering stability? With a tilted tread, it would be just like running near 0 degrees camber. The only way I could see that being beneficial would be for looks, such as hell a flush but still having a functional tire. That's my thought..
