Bias..... due to the construction of both they handle differently from one another. The bias ply is not as quick to handle movement.. If the fronts are radials and lets say you make a tiny jerk to the left on the steering wheel. The fronts will move immediately. The bias ply in the rear will move but slower... this leads to massive over correction usually with catastrophic results. So by running Bias and Bias you dont have to worry as all 4 are in tune with each other and handle as one

I had a TERRIBLE time with a radial/bias combo years ago. I tried a 10.5" tire instead of my 11.5" slick and my car/alignment did NOT like it. The sway was downright ridiculous, but it sure was fun lol.

Enjoy the crap combo....I sold the 10.5" after this.

I run 11.5" bias ply with radial on the front and there is minimal sway... nothing like alberto had but enough where it feels like a slight constant drift on normal roads. I think I aborted twice in 30 runs.

When I ran high 11's I never aborted a run on the same setup. 100whp more vastly chaned things in my car.

I was pleasantly surprised with R888 wet traction. The noise was the only issue for me. Quick wear, but that's to be expected.

Robert, I run R888s and I have found that lateral traction is great. Straight line I would consider them medium. I realize that there are several opinions on this but they stick like all get out on corners at MSR but I do have to mind a straight launch, especially when the pavement is cold.

As you know mine is not a DD so I have not been caught in many wet afternoons, but when I have, it is not fun. Houston highways have turned to crap and the tires float on the runoff.

Anyway, I have a set of NT05s in the garage waiting until I finish burning these off. After I try those I'll decide whether to go back to R888s.

Thanks for sharing. If I remember correctly the NT05's were not offered in the sizes I wanted/needed. I was really limited first by 19's. Than with a 265/30 & 305/30.

I get the same "sway" on my Z32TT. It comes in around 110mph, and it's like you're driving a boat. I still can't get the 1/2 shift without bogging in second gear. I see how long you stay in first to get traction, then slam it into 2nd. What kind of 60's were on these runs? I can get 1.6s, but don't ride out first gear long enough to put the car back into the power band in 2nd. I know I need to do that, though, to get my 10s pass.

on stock rims,

def go mickey thompson drag radial 2 265/40/18 (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MTT-3782R/) in the rear and pretty much any 245/40/18 in the front.

that will keep your current front to rear aspect ratio and give you all the hook up you need.

Buy new wheels, simple and easy. If you have FI money, you should have no problem buying some cheap $1400 wheels. If you don't have that type of money, you shouldn't be going FI.

that was my inicial bet... but after reading some thinks i ended up with this chart
http://www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk/...es-advice.html
so if i´m using rear 18x8,5 wheels i cant put on the 265/45R18
what u think? is it safe?
I´m going fast so i dont whant any desnecessary risk

i run 275s on the stock rims when I dyno my car which is over twice as much power as you are looking at. Believe me, 265 is just fine on a 8 or 8.5" rim.

i even have pics of it somewhere that I posted.

I recently installed a set of 295/30/19 RE08's and I am very happy with them. They grip better than anything I have had in the rear up to now. No slip at all at about 450whp. I am going to go back to the 3.5 fd but with the Quaife LSD (have the OEM 3.3 in now).
