Default Winter or all season?

So this will be my first winter driving the z, i live in philadelphia. We dont get much snow here at all, temps are usually not so bad, usually like a high of 40 or 45 and a low of maybe 30 or so, and like i said, not much snow at all.

The lady i bought the car from gave me her set of winter tires, i put them on but what a pain to drive with these tires on. The guy at nissan said the all season tires that were already on would be fine for the winter here in philly. My question is will it be fine driving the z with all season tires instead of winter tires in a climate like philadelphia?

If you don't see any accumulation and plowed roads almost all the time then all seasons will more than likely suffice. However, the dedicated snows will do much better on snow and ice surfaces and stay more pliable in the colder temps. If you have them, personally I would use them.

I'm probably going to just use my all season tires. The blizteks I have will they fit onto other cars as well, I am thinking of selling them on craigslist...

So i just got done driving with the blizzeks on the highway. Conditions were dry and about 40 degrees out. The "slip" signal kept coming on. I would be doing 70, then accelerate and it would keep saying slip. It has been coming on a lot. Ivam not liking these winter tires. I dont think they are good for dry comditions, i think in philly the all seasons are better. I am putting the all seasons back on these winter tires are annoying. I never had this slip signal come on til i put these winter tires on

I've driven the z in snow with NEW blizzaks and let's say it sucks. The turning radius, power and rwd all make it a bad ride. I would strongly suggest a beater.

Light snow or well maintained roads would be okay with all-seasons, but definitely use snows if it gets pretty chilly or you get hit with a surprise snow day!

I've driven the z the last couple years in Gettysburg and a 240 through a blizzard. Both on all seasons. Only times it got scary was when other drivers messed up around me. I've got a truck for when things get really bad though. But living in a city you should be alright.

You bought a sports car. Sports cars should have performance tires. Lose the all seasons for a nice sticky summer tire and use the winter wheels in the winter. You just need to drive calmer with the winter tires, but trust me, your going to wish you had them on during a big snow storm and your stuck at work with all seasons.

Well I took the winter tires off and just put the all seasons on. The all seasons have pretty good tread. The winter tires were miserable to drive with to say the least, I will be selling them on ebay.

The all season tires seem to handle just as well as they did in the summer. It was about 30 degrees the other night, dry conditions, and I was just feeling the car out a little to see how the tired held up in the cold temp and it felt fine. Like I said, we don't get much snow here, and if it does snow hard, I don't plan on driving, so I think putting the winter tires on is basically unnecessary.

I'm sure if I got a lot of snow the winter tires would be useful, or I would just buy a beater. The temps do get cold here, like I said an average winter day is about a high of 40 and a low of 25, but in the dry conditions I think the all seasons are just fine.
