04 Stock wheels/Tires to 07 Nismo wheels/tires question
I have a 2004 Nissan 350z Touring with Stock Wheels and Rims
Front - 17x7-1/2JJ Offset +30mm
Rear - 18x8JJ Offset +30mm
I am switching to the 07 Nismo Dark gray 5 Spoke Rims
Front - 18x9.0
Offset: +30mm
Rear - 19x10
Offset: +30mm
All stock suspension
Do you folks have any ideas on the tire sizes? Will I need spacers? I know nothing about tires and spacers

Use the 245/40/18 front and a 285/35/19 rear. They are the right offset for stock bodied cars that aren't slammed. You can use a small spacer, but it isn't needed IMO for stock wheels/suspension.

Do you folks have any idea of what brand of tires I should buy. Michelins PS2 are so expensive and I don't see the justification for buying those tires.....I want to know why I should spend a lot of money on tires.

Tires should be bought for your needs. If your track, have a lot of wet weather, just daily driving , have mad HP etc etc. All factors for a tire purchase. I have run the Falken 452, Nitto Invo and Hankook V12 in the past. Those tires were for street only and daily driving in Vegas.

I work at a Firestone so I tend to go with the Bridgestone stuff since I get great deals on them. You can go with a RE760 if you want a reasonable price, good daily driver tire. Have a set on my Toyota. If you want a premium summer tire that still works great in the rain and is smooth and quiet, go with an S04, I have a set on my Sonic and they are really nice. I run RE-11's on my Nismo, but they are more of an all-out performance tire, they tend to flat-spot when cold, are a little noisy at times, not as super smooth as the S04's and more expensive, but they grip like crazy, flat out the stickiest tire I've had on a street car.

Great tire, you should be very happy. The set I have on my Sonic only have about 4K miles on them but they are awesome so far in all conditions I have seen. I have yet to see a customer complain about anything regarding those tires, from ride to noise to wear, nothing.
He said 07 Nismo wheels, which is correct. Rays is just a company, they make a lot of Nissan's wheels, for many different vehicles. They also make the aftermarket "NISMO" branded wheels I believe. Volk's as well. So calling them 'Rays' doesn't mean much.

I recently went with General G-MAX AS-03. Happy with dry and wet performance. Not suitable for competition of course, but just fine on the street. Only negative thing is that they "sing" at about 40 MPH.

I also got these tire sizes as well in the S-04s I wonder if there is going to be a tire gap.... what do you guys think? My tires should come in by tomorrow I got them from Tirerack.com since they are running a special and where I am living...S-04s would have to be special ordered which can take up to 4 weeks before the firestone in my area receives them....

We usually have them in stock at my firestone. They should fit like a stock Nismo does, if you are lowered it will be pretty good.
This is how that sizing on those wheels looks on a stock height car

After I lowered/re-aligned my car, I measured and decided to add 15mm spacers (245/40/18 and 275/35/19 I think). The profile now looks like this:
Also here's a couple of photos I just posted in the OEM wheel thread that may give a better idea of look:
