There is a 10 or 12mm bolt preventing my front wheels from mounting flush on the wheel hub...there is a hole on the rim that it *kind of* fits in but the bolt is too long...

what is this thing? can i remove it safely? axis said these hiros were designed for the Z...wtf

this is just the icing on what has been a terrible terrible day.

I do believe you are referring to the bolt that prevents you from mounting the stock rear wheels in the front. It can be easily removed from what I have read.

I took mine off no prob so far. I have axis seven mods.

sorry to hear you are having a rough day.

i havent received my z yet, so i cant say for sure, but it sounds like the bolt thats there is to prevent people from mounting the stock rear wheels on the front.

Just remove it, there is no harm in doing so.

wow thanks guys i tried to search but nothing came up. i just removed them and now the wheels are mounted. i can't believe how good they look. i'll post some pics either tomorrow or sunday.

unfortunately i noticed feathering on my front tires when i took them off...i'm at 5k miles...it'll kill me if my z wastes these new s03's in 5k miles looks like i'll have to get that tsb done which means undoing everything i did today..woohoo!!

thanks again for the help though. it's greatly appreciated. the day turned out ok after all .

glad to hear you got your wheels...my iforged wheel is in transit and i can finally get it on so i dont have to drive around with a kit and 17's
