F_A_T_T_E_S_T Tires on a 19" rim...????????

![Default](https://my350z.com/forum/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Has anyone ever put 295's on their rear 19" rims? I know it takes a specific setup, (offset and rim width). I would like to put the fattest tires possible on my VOLKS SF WINNING, while keep the suspension stock. This thread and its input could help others too. I have done so much tire research in the past couple of days, I think I’m going crazy with numbers… I realize in doing this type of setup I will have to roll my rear fenders, but that’s ok.
This is my setup…offsets are in mm and so are the gains compared to stock 17’s.
8.5f__+25 gains in comparison to stock +18 outside/+8 inside
10.5r_+29 gains in comparison to stock +36 outside/+28 inside
These are some tire considerations along with their dimensions. If anyone has any of these specific setups, please post, along with how you like it and if you had any trouble getting it to work.
Note: stock 17’s

why put 295s on the back (with 245s in the front) when the car already understeers from the factory?
unless you're putting down more than 350 rwhp, and you're goal is to build a drag car, there's no reason to do it (besides the look)

IMO...it's all about the looks![Smilie](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm also just curious to see what some others have done.
And it's not going to look like a dragster, your funny... The rears would have to be almost twice as wide. If you look closely the difference between that setup averages only 2 inches, not 6-10".

Just placed an order today with Tire Rack:
F: 265/30ZR-19 Continental ContiSportContact
R: 295/30ZR-19 Continental ContiSportContact
But I won't know much more for 4-6 weeks as the 19" rims are coming from Japan ;(

topdown,
PLEASE pm me what wheels you are going to run (widths, offsets) as well as what you paid for the Conti's... I'm looking at running 9.5/10.5 GT-C's (face 2 f/r) and that tire combo would be SICK!

Edit:
Looks like the D1 is out of the lab today and all we have is film cameras in the building. So I'll have to just wait and see if the D1 comes back.

Dr - do you have Face 2 front and rear? If so, that is the EXACT setup that I'm going to run... and I've been all strung out about what sizes to run... how do the Conti's handle? What about treadwear? I would love to see pics from all angles of how they match up with the fenders... Thanks in advance!

This has to be one of the most perfect setups I've ever seen on a Z. I think it's absolutely beautiful
It has a 1" drop.

Front 19x9 +25/+38
Rears 19x10 +25/+38
The price I paid from Tire Rack for the Continental ContiSportContact 2's:
265/30ZR-19 $283 each
295/30ZR-19 $302 each
Front 265/30/19 - 10.4 width - 25.2 dia.
Rear 295/30/19 - 12.2 width - 25.9 dia.
So the stagger should be correct at .5"
I can't get over how long the wait for the wheels is going to be! The tires will be in Friday, but I still have 4-6 weeks to go...

The Conti's aren't quite as sticky as my Proxy's where, but I do like them. With my Tein springs the back end seems to be a bit more willing to come around, and that might be why it seems the Conti's aren't as sticky.
The camera still isn't back in the lab (people like to borrow it for personal use as its not actually a lab camera). But as soon as it gets here you can see the pics of my REALLY dirty car (just had a dust and thunder storm).
