wheel spacers Need your Help
ok i have the axis supermeshs right now and i can't afford new wheels, i want too, actually i can, but i'm saving up to buy a house, and every penny counts.
what i decided to do is wheel spacers.
i searched for days and figured that Fred's wheels spacers from www.wheeladapters.com are the best quality.
i know the axis wheels are a bore size of 73 while the 350z has it at 66.06.
the only question and opinions i need are what MM should i go for the spacers.
i was thinking 20mm on the rear and 15mm on the front.
help me out

Sorry I cannot answer ur question but I can add this!
Fred made me some 35 mm spacers (hub centric) and they are amazing. beautiful workmanship.
He is also a very nice old guy!

sang, i didnt get a chance to respond here but it loos as though you already ordered the spacers....you never gave your original offsets. it loos as though they are 40 front & 45 rear correct? if this is the case a perfect fitment spacer would be to get them both to 20mm on the z with the staggered wheels. this would mean that 20mm front & 25 mm rear would be perfect to get you at 20mm front/rear. not that 5mm is going to hurt you. you will have a "slighty" tucked in the rear look as compared to the front. you will be greatly more offset than your current setup so it will be a drastic change regardless......i bought the axis milano about 6 months ago when the heavy offsets came out to get the most agressive stance. i originally wanted the supermesh but decided against them due to the light offsets offered. now that i have my milanos at the agressive offsets i realize that 20mm front & rear with 8.5" front & 9.5" rear is perfect. i have 15mm front & 20mm rear but wish i had went wiht the 20mm front. it looks great & i get compliments all the time but since im a picky freak i want everything perfect..............if you went with 20mm spacers at all 4 corners you'll be happy. if your a nit pick like myself youll eventually get the 25mm rear to get the even stance. ive heard many great things about freds spacers as well. h&r makes some quality hubcentric spacers as well. great bang for the buck! ....best of luck to ya!
(nit pick, neat freak, **** bastard about my cars & wheels, lol!)

I TOTALLY AGREE, the thing is i got my camber adjusted to be just like stock now, and when i measured the gap, i felt like 1" will be to close to call without rolling.
I am picky with my offset on wheels too, thats why i was really really close to buying some new wheels, just can't afford them now cause i need to buy a house and buy an engagement ring.
regardless, i feel that a 20 offset all around will be the best, i'm going to put one of these spacers on the front to see if the 20 will be good before i put both on the rears, but i know from seeing my wheels tucked in so far, that when they are going to be a 25 offset, i'll be so much happier.
but i agree with you, its just for me right now with my lowered stance which for some reason is lower then others with eibachs, its safer to say that i will not have to roll them.
thanks for the info though.
sang.
you would not need to roll the fenders with the rears at 20mm...a 25mm spacer would be 1". a 20mm spacer will give you about 3/4" or .787 to be exact. i have the 9.5" axis on the rear with a 20mm offset & my car is lowered with eibachs. i too have a pretty drastic drop & i have no rub issues at all. with my camber kits i have my rear camber set at the top of the negative tolerance for better/even tire wear. i may have even got away with a 15mm rear if axis offered it for an extreme aggressive look. i had my brother climb inside my rear hatch to add weight to the rear then jump up & down so i could see my tire in relation to the fender when moving with the suspension. it tucks at a pretty aggressive angle when under load, much more than most may think, thus allowing for a heavier offset than you would be able to measure with the car just sitting idle or not under load........
your offsets are truely 40 front & 45 rear correct?
either way the spacers will make a huge improvement & 20mm at all 4 corners will still look great. 5mm is just shy of 1/4". if you end up getting the 20mm on the rear & want more you can always step up to a 25mm spacer to put you right at the safe limits with the 9.5" wheels on your lowered z....your going to love the wheels all over again one you push 'em out......best of luck!

as long as you put longer studs your safe. anything over 15mm is a whole adaptor with its own lugs. i recommend not running over 5mm without adding longer wheels studs! best of luck guys! cant wait to see some pics sang, i love the supermesh!
