WANTED: Pix of powdercoated 18" Track rims with POLISHED lip.
Anyone has some pictures of powdercoated (preferably gunmetal or black) 18" Rays with polished lip? I have seen some pix of just powdercoated Track rims but in my opinion polished lip adds a lot of contrast. If there are pictures of these on Daytona Blue I will reeeeely appreciate it
Thanks.
Thanks.

i think it can be done... just go to your local powdercoating shop and have them give you an estimate... shoudl run about 400-600 USD for all 4
a lot of other car owners do this to their stock rims... for instance, some s2000 owners powdercoat their rims black or gunmetal and leave the lip area uncoated
they look great imo... and i think our track rays will respond ever better, since the lip is more pronounced than the one on the pre-'04 OEM s2k.. it's a great way to visually enhance our OEM light weight wheels... if i had the track rays, i may have given this a try before buying 19s

Thank you Stife!!! At least now I know I am not insane. I mean look at how much contrast this setup brings (these are not Rays tho):
These are Rays, but without the polished lip. Any photoshop gurus willing to stretch their paintbrushes and add polished lip to these???
one more
As always any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

unfortunatly most powdercoating shops do not have the ability to do what is necissary to polish a lip...
what you will have to do is...
get the rim powdercoated...
go to a machine shop and have them diamond cut the lip...
then go somewhere else to clear coat the whole rim...

Thanks Jason.
So would it be totally wrong to powdercoat the spokes and leave the lip as it is? Not polished but still "light in color". What would that look like? Anybody done something similar???
