Gi: Track day
hey guys glad everyone made it to the last event cant wait to see you all again. Anyway a lot of the guys were wanting to do a track day and well honestly id love to also. NPR or grand bayou w/e you wanna call it their road course is horrible it'll eat your whole set of tires in a day plus theres a drop off if you spin out no one wants that. well the mardi gras miata club usually does theres at the evo center in Zachary, La just north of baton rouge down 110. It the police training base and where cenla holds their scca autox's. but we are thinking march or april that way we have a long enough notice. heres the thing it would have to be payed in advance im not sure what the cost would be yet just seeing if there is an interest.

Here's my 2¢ - as someone who has been on both tracks.
While NPR/CGB is not perfect, it's a better overall track. There has been some work on it over the last year or so to fix the surface problems. The curbs have been reworked also. Technically it's much better than Evo and certainly more fun to drive.
EVO became too expensive to run on. They doubled the price so every club or group that used to use them with the lone exception of the Miata guys have stopped using EVO. While it's a big open course, it's not really very difficult or fun to run on. It too has problems with run-off - soft ground, steep drop-offs, etc.
You really need to price them both and figure how many people will definitely come so you can get a good handle on price/driver.
