Default 16"s on a 350Z

I know some people will think this is stupid, but does anyone know if you can fit 16"s on a 350Z base? I know that the brembo's require bigger rims, but how about the stock base brakes?

I probably won't do this, but I was just curious. I'm probably gonna get some 17" volk gram lights or something similar, only because they probably don't make the 16"s wide enough.

Either way I just want some light rims, and was wondering if anyone has done this or knows if it would work.

Thanks in advance and hi I'm new

some of the 19" volk wheels from what I've read are up to 5lbs lighter then the stock 17s

I'm pretty sure you could put 16s on the 350Z but keep in mind the 350Z has much bigger wheel wells then most other cars so if you do go with a 16" wheel you would see a lot more tire and if you went with low profile tires it would just look like a pansey car.

haha yeah I am more just curious to see if anyone has done it. But if I did it I would definately get some huge tires to try and fill the wheelwell.

Yeah... but if 19" volks are that light imagine 16" volks. Only problem is they probably don't make them wide enough. (if they'd even fit over our brakes. But like I said I'll probably go with 17" volks when I do get rims. I don't think the small gap I have now with the 17"s is bad. And it will be nice to pay less for tires since I hear they only last about 15K.

hey thanks for the input BTW!

I can't imagine 16s on a Z. Those wheel wells are too huge for 16s. It would looke way off IMO

I had 16s on the rear of my Z with brembos. had to use 1" spacers for them to clear the brakes. Tires were M/T 26x9.50-16 ET Streets.
