How does the Z sound on the freeway?
probabaly not as loud as my old mr2 with no cats, no mufflers, open intake.... the only saving graces where the turbo quieted it down and the engine was behind you... but at WOT it sounded like a 747... mean as hell.....but after a few hours it did start to drone a little bit.
so i doubt the Z would be that bad..

I dont find my Z to be too loud on the highway. A little bumpy at times depending on road conditions, but hey, If I wanted a ride like my old Toyota Avalon I would have kept it. BEN
I just replaced the stock tires with Michelin Pilots. At ALL speeds the -Z- is much quieter than it was before. It was noticable immediately.
After about 10,000 miles on the Bridgestones, they got real noisy....especially after driving on the highway (and getting heated-up).

With Shitenza stock Bridgestone tires = loud only when slowing down.
On the freeway it was a muffled *vRRrrrRrRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr* sound.
After Toyo T1-S = Quiet as hell.
I've ridden in a stock 96 GSR and if I can recall correctly, it was louder than the Z especially when cruising in the higher RPM's. That 4 cylinder droning on the highway....
On another note: A lowered one with an exhaust was hell in the backseat. You can hear the VRArArrArArAr of the wheels and the windage.
The Z's motor sits a tad below 3k rpm on a typical highway cruise but the muffled purring sound is very bearable.

there will be road noise since the Z has relatively wide rubber (even stock). also you sit low and its a sports car. if you drive over 80mph your tach will be over 3k and there is a perceivable different in noise over 3000 at cruising speed.
other than that...i dont care!
