Default Got back from the dealers

Well everyone its time for me to get a z. It should be at my house in 1 or 2 weeks. Today I went shopping around getting some numbers and I went to 3 dealerships. Now i live in Houston,tx and it seems these cats won't give an inch. First dealer (Baker Jackson Nissan South) I haggled with them and told them about the clutch problems and even printed out some info from this site about the problems and they said they never had a car with a clutch problem and then we talked again and they said they would sell it to me for 27,400 (btw Im talking base model here) tax titles and license included. Second dealer (Champion nissan) said they would sell it to me for 27,000 but they wouldn't let me take the paperwork to get it financed with my bank so I left because they could finance it with their bank and screw me out of money. Third Dealer(Baytown nissan) had a base with aerodynamic package and said 28,500 for it. In my mind I said HELL no . I went in and talked to a salesperson and he still wouldn't budge. I showed him the papers from Baker Jackson and they still wouldn't give me anything then as i was leaving their manager came out and told me about something the paper had on it saying it might be some secret code and that I should call Baker Jackson and ask them what this is and if it changes the price she would sell it to me for 27,400.

So im wandering are these good deals and if there not how do I get the dealer to bend more.

I'm confused, what is the secret code for? What exactly does it do for Baker-Jackson vs. Baytown?

Well the manager at Baytown knows the manager at Baker-Jackson and she knows what Baker-Jackson does to people(at least I think she knows him) who finance from their dealership but I didnt finance from their dealership I did it from my personal bank and the manager at Baker-Jackson signed the document so it is legal so he couldn't change the price if I gave it to my bank but she says that I should still check so I will call them up tommorow and see whats up.

I'll find out what the hell is going on when I call them tommorow. If its true then Im dropping Baker-Jackson and going to Baytown. I forgot to mention that the price that Baker-Jackson and the Baytown dealership doesn't include floor mats, kick plates or anything that came with the car. They were chargin 70$ for floor mats. I believe they will give it to me for free though.

You can always use costco auto buying program, spend $50 for membership if you're not already a costco member, and avoid a haggle / hassle. You'll also get a really decent price.

I got $500 over invoice + tax and license. Maybe you can do better on a base model, mine was touring.

are you talking about used prices? 27K with tax for an 05 enthusiast auto? Has to be used. You can't even get that price not including tax and license for a new one.

I would give Tom Peacock Nissan on the northside a call before you buy any of those. The guys at Tom Peacock actually want to sell their cars and don't get that all high and mighty attitude with you. I am going to purchase through them. Talk to Luis Pastor...his cell number is 713-516-8020. Tell him Thomas gave you the number. He knows me as the guy with the really nice BMW. I had the whole management team including GM outside looking at my car and shootin the $hit with them. They are a bunch of good guys.

I just received a flyer in the mail $3000 off MSRP from the dealer I bought my car from. No disclaimer on the Z. Maybe I should buy a 2005 Altima 3.5 SE-R to replace my Sable. I need to check this out.

$3000 off MSRP is pretty good.
