Default Pioneer Nav System (what do you guys think of this?)

So I visited my local installation shop today and they told me that if I want to have a clean install of a GPS system in the compartment above the head unit, I should consider the Pioneer NAV-SYS 630T. I don't need any fancy DVD and CD functions so I think this model should be right for me. They told me that it's fairly easy to install and this system has the so-called tele-atlas software - which might be one of the most accurate navigation software out there. What do you guys thinks? Have any of you installed this system and are you satisfied?

I'm told that there are two CDs, one for east coast and one for west. The reason for this is because the system claims to have over 1.5 million points of interest. Please advise! Thanks.

I have that Navigation system in my car and I love it. Its one of the best aftermarket navi systems i've come accross so far. I've had no problem getting places and every road i've come accross has been on there. It has tons of points of interest, even communities in my area which helps a lot when i'm going places ive never been. I definatley reccomend it

I have the AVIC-9D with a 6.5" Pioneer touch screen. The two DVDs are spectacular! I have found the directions to be very accurate and it sure helps you find somewhere to eat or get gas if you're in a strange town.

I have been using my laptop with a handheld GPS receiver long before they were available for cars and while it works great, I have been thinking about an IN DASH nav system.

Therefore your post caught my attention. Can you post a link to the 630T please?
The only thing I can find on Pioneer's website is the NAV-SYS620T

Thanks

Right you are DAVID. I didn't anticipate its value at that time. I was just window shopping. The Kenwood is priced in the neighborhood of $800.
