I regret buying a nitrous kit. Biggest wait of money on the car ever!!! Bought the complete kit only installed the bottles. two months later bought a supercharger and am now stuck trying to sell my kit. Worst impulse buy ever for the car.

LOVE this thread ...most informative thread thus far
...really made me rethink things a lot!!!

my regret is getting grounding kit (bought it & researched later) found out it does nothing for 6MT (heard it help out a little in 5AT though)

Ive been researching members comments/evaluation on performance mods for the past 6-8 months (mostly at G35driver.com) I'm pretty new here
& this thread puts the "icing on the cake" for a few things

in the mean time I have been buying "bling mods" or visuals as i call them to hold me over:
grille, lip, roof spoiler, 8000k hid's, 20"rims, springs, pop charger, engine torque damper

& thanks to all the valuable info here u guys have saved me from making the mistake of getting:
Test pipes, headers, UR pulley set

my next mods will be: Stillen or HKS exhaust, UR crank pulley, & possibly JWT clutch & flywheel

If Im not bored with my car by spring '08 then I'll be prepared to spend about 12k on a F/I system & do any other goodies I can get within my budget

I do make sure the lower pads rest on the metal hatch rather than the glass.

The best part about this setup is that mileage doesn't suffer that bad and there isn't much wind noise.
I hope your Z doesn't look like this all the time, this looks absolutely ridiculous. Is this just for when you go to the track? The Z is a sports car not a suv lol.

you guys are right, a lot of people can refer to this thread and get a lot of questions answered, rather than reposting the same questions about products in a whole new thread.

genius thread my friend =D

I didn't plan my amps install very well so there's some cleanup needed there.

Other than that I'm happy so far, anti-sway bars followed by new tires was nice and though the gain from the MREV + spacer was minor, still fun.

Coming up, exhaust,18" wheels (when current tires are worn out), lowering springs or the nismo suspension kit and a double DIN Nav.

Trust me, light-colored Zs should get one, too! I've got an orange Z, and I can see those giant rock chips in my bumper just fine.

Python Hose clamps (sort of)

The quality is there and they look sharp but I realized as I tightened up the last one that now I have to carry the wrenches with me any time I travel in case there is a need to to remove a water hose. It really does not fit my plan to keep the car simple enough for everyday reliability. It also means I can't take it to just anyone to work on, not that I do now but it does limit me.
