Try the stillen intake. Similar to the JWT pop charger, but it has a full cover and is supposed to keep it much cooler.

I used an OBD tool to watch the intake temps of my Popcharger and my stock intake. You can see my post here for details:
https://my350z.com/forum/showpost.ph...5&postcount=20
When idling and driving slowly (like in bad traffic) the hot intake temps shouldn't really cause any issues. High intake temps generally only matter when the engine is operating at heavy throttle/load. Heck, you could even run 87 octane in the 350Z if you're only cruising along in slow traffic. It won't matter until you try to floor the accelerator and go fast.

Default My only mods - audio

Kenwood DDX8019 wIpod Video/audio - Best system I've EVER owned (and I've owned lots)
Kenwood Navigation - fantastic.

Boston Acoustics SX & SL speakers changed out stock (not subwoof) - Fantastic!!!

Kenwood 8403 & 8103d amps replacing stock "amps" - again great!

Nazar sealed subwoof box with Boston Acoustic shallow G5 subwoof - Great sound. Box doesn't fit perfectly (thick on mounts) but is acceptable and works.

All Above investment maybe ~ 500 dollars more than if I would have got stock Navigation = GREAT deal because I have enchance audio AND navigation. And the BOSE BLOSE!

High flow catalytic converters. I assumed that I needed HFC to pass emissions. I was wrong. Should have installed test pipes from the get go.

Trimmed rear spring perches = love the look, no performance difference
Koni shocks = love them
JWT flywheel = love the performance, don't like the sound
Stillen engine torque damper = love it
JWT Popcharger = love it, sounds fantastic, no heat soak as long as you're going above 30mph
Crawford intake plenum = like the performance, don't like losing the stock strut bar
Crawford high flow cats = like them
Kinetix Y-pipe = like it
JDM black bumper finisher = love it
3M window tint = love it

Mods I've removed or don't like:

RSR Ti2000 springs = loved the performance, didn't like lowering my car
Nismo exhaust = loved the sound, but *hated* the droning on the freeway
grounding kit = Meh... whatever. Don't think it does anything.

Sorry. I've deleted my list of things I like (leaving only my regrets), and also deleted a couple of responses I made to other folks about stuff they disliked and how they might fix it.

Don't forget your B&M short shifter. I really didn't like it. Stock is way better.

The NISMO Titanium shift **** can get hot, but it cools down rather quickly. I love it. I want to get the Nismo Titanium GT know which is a little fatter and has the hex nut on top; which kind of matches the aesthetic of my LMGT4's. If I ever make the switch, I will sell the other one here.

Default Regret - Brakes

my biggest regret other than my 2 lightened flywheel's clutchmaster and nismo, would have to be EBC sport rotors and greenstuff pads.... they make way too much noise sounds like when you used to stick a playing card in between your frame of your bicycle and the spokes on your wheels. kinda like tis tis tis sound, seems to be going away a little bit, as i wear through the pads more, but i hear it non stop...

why is this? I heard a lot of Z owners take the test pipes off because of the loss of low-end, and switch to hi flow. Im actually contemplating on the high flow cats at this moment. Might get some installed on Saturday.
