Why do people think G35 is a class higher than 350z?

Well put.

The car feels different. I fell in love with my sisters LOADED G35 Coupe. That one of the reasons I have the Z now. But, they don't feel the same. The clutch is TOTALLY different. The suspension feels much softer. A lot of little things that make each car there own.
Depends on what YOU want...?

WRT "The clutch is TOTALLY different".

Not that I have ever seen.. they are mechanically identical , fly , clutch , fork, slave/master cylinders, line , fluid and pedal. The clutches between the Z and G of the same years are 100% the SAME. Except maybe for 2003 and 2004 when you would need to add the metal pedal trim kit to make the Z pedals "look" like the Z pedals. But that really does not change operation one iota.

Like I said, the G35 handles better not the 350z. Look at the test results.

I see a lot of 350z lose control on the autox course because they are too tail happy. The Coupe / Sedan G35 is more even balanced and has a longer wheel base, so it handles a little better.

Shall I remind everyone that there are about 1/8 many G's going to the track compared to 350z. So sure you might see a greater chance that a Z hits 13s over a G. But we have a few G35s that have hit 13s stock.

A Z driver would have to miss a gear or REALLY suck totally driving to lose to a G. This is also FACT... I can beat an 05 Vette too if they suck at driving and miss a gear...

it's cheaper to get g35 in canada unless you are getting g35c 6mt
The G35 Coupe must be much cheaper in Vancouver. Here is the prices of the 06 G35 Coupe from infiniti.ca:

Description MSRP†

5-speed auto $ 46,800

5-speed auto with Performance Package $ 48,000

5-speed auto with Navigation Package $ 49,750

5-speed auto with Performance and Navigation Packages $ 50,950

5-speed auto with Sport Package $ 50,200

5-speed auto with Sport Navigation Packages $ 53,150

6-speed manual with Sport Package $ 50,200

6-speed manual with Sport Package, Rear Active Steer $ 51,400

6-speed manual with Sport and Navigation Packages $ 53,150

I must Add that I love the 350Z. If I was younger and a bit more limber I would not have the sedan , it would be a 350Z

i think for looks, the g35 looks like a scion tc while the 350z looks like a porsche. a bit beefier than a porsche.
I hope your joking me about the scion porsche thing. First of all you must be blind or just straight up retarded to think the G and the Scion look the same. Second, how could u say ur car looks like a porsche? I just got a carrera S and hearing you say that makes me gag and want to sell it. Seriously, you drive a damn nissan. Its nothing special so get over it.

Also if anyone is planning on replying to this, dont, becasue I never read this forum.

I personally picked the G35c becuase I think it looked better on the outside plus I like the interior much more. Plus mine came with 19s, navigation, satallite radio and everything else.My last two cars have been two seaters too so it is so nice to finally have a back seat.

I don't know who is more immature and snotty... The poster you are replying to or you. You just sunk to his own level. Nice first post. I think you both are in the same league.

Default from a concerned G35c owner...

jeezus, can't we all jus' git along?

we're like step-brothers beatin' the **** out of each other while the kid next door comes over and fondles our little sister.

we have enough to worry about sucking BMW's exhaust (M3) and with Lexus breathing down our necks (IS350) without having to deal with these silly squabbles in our own backyard.

Z and G, kiss and make up, or Nissan head Carlos Ghosn (aka Big Brother or "Daddy") will put us both up for adoption.

he looks pretty pissed already.

and can you blame him? he has to pretend to be Japanese all day.

Curious, what do you mean by better service? My local dealership is a Nissan/Infiniti dealership. Nissan and Infiniti are sold and serviced there by the same people and garage.

Do you mean that when I go in with my Z, they will send my Z to one corner of the garage with the less inclined technician while when my friend brings in his G, they will send his G to the better technician at the other end of the same garage? I'm curious because next time, I'll ask for the nicer corner of the garage.

Most Infiniti dealerships are completely separate from Nissan dealerships. Infiniti in the last 5 years has averaged the top 3 in terms of customer service for all manufacturers while Nissan has averaged near the bottom. Nissan is slowly improving but most Infiniti dealerships absolutely ROCK. The Infiniti also comes with guaranteed loaners for all warranty work and most will give loaners for maintenance done at dealers. Unfortunately, my Nissan dealership never did this for me when I had a Max.

My point is that they have the same people serving the Z and G at my dealership... what does that say about who they hire to do jobs for nissan or infiniti? Does that mean that I'm benifitting from the G technician or does that mean infiniti people are being serviced by the same technician that services my Z but think they are getting better service because of the word "Infiniti"?

PS: I got a loaner car when they did my axle TSB. They must have thought I was an Infiniti customer?
