i think is ok because i have a Z im only 16 and u know i paid for it myself ive been saving up since im a lil kid not because i wanted a car ...just because i thought well if i want something expensive and it comes out of no were, then i will have the money to afford it ...and yes thats what happend,my parents gave me money weekly and i used that money to eat in school and also to save up. and also ive bought myself so far when i was a kid a ticket to go to Dominican Republic(just the ticket),an ipod(i was 15), game cube(it was a few months after it came out)) and stuff like that because i never knew when something expensive came out and i wanted to buy it.....now i have a Z ...i still work...and that thing that kids wanna run and crap u shouldnt give them a Z....u know most cars go to 100mph ...common now some of my friends have 93 jeeps and they race regardless so basically what im saying is u give em a corolla they will race if u give them a corvette they will still race. its just a matter of how the person is...for me i dont race at all i know i got that car out of my money and i feel poor since i bought it..and i dont want to spend more money because i wrecked it.

Sounds like a kick a$$ custom paint job YOUR PARENTS paid for. Who goes into a body shop and says "Can you paint my car gray? I want it to be really unique and I think Gray would be fabulous".

Seriously, stop while you're way behind and let the adults do the typing.

No, there is a general hate towards teens that own any type of "sports/gt" vehicle. It sucks.. but when i turn old and rinkly i'm sure i would b!tch at kids with any car, even at 3 year olds with those plastic 5hp motor hummer thingy's.
It's life... nothing is ever fair. If it was... i would know the worlds most confusing question, "What do women really think about." Oh wait.. money! Wow life seems so clear now!!!

Boy, we are a contentious lot! I've "looked at life from both sides now," and I believe my personal experience is not the end-all and be-all. I would have LOVED to have had a Z when I was a teen-ager. I'm grateful to have one now in crazy middle-age. Bye y'all

*high five*
Im 19 with a Z im a student and i worked all through high school to afford and pay off my truck and i sold it to get the Z. I have a great respect for the car and the people who drive them and i think if u do the same u wont have any problems
I would hope to think there isn't hate towards teens with Z's but I would be wrong. I understand how people can hate on a teen with a Z. I mean it's a nice fairly priced sports car that most teens can't usually afford. So when you see a teen driving around a nice sports car you can help but to think that they think there better then every one else on the streets even thought they didn't earn it themselves. That's the way I think older people view it.
I personally don't like to have my window down when driving because I know what most people are thinking when they see behind the wheel of a car that looks out of my price range for an 18 year old, then again I don't ever go around all smug thinking I'm better then anyone else. I believe if you're parents can afford one for you then take it. You have one life and might as well make it as fun as you can. My parents got me my Z for 3 reasons;
1. For my image for when I'm in real estate.
2. My last car (1992 accord) was a POS and my parents don't like me being in a unreliable car.
3. They want me to be happy and have what they didn't.
Those are the ways I see it and hope people won't hate me because of what I drive, I'm no way snobby and I do know the price of a penny, and have been raised very well. I mean hell I just got drunk for my first time about two weeks ago and I'm 18. I don't get out much and I only hang out with only maybe 4-5 friends EVER. When I have kids I won't spoil them but I will make them learn work and appreciation before I start the giving.
There will always be hating towards younger drivers by most older drivers, it's just how it is. I care but what can I do. I just don't hope that what I drive alters what a person will like me or not, because that would be basically judges a book by it's cover which we all know most of the times you will see allot of the sh!tty covers will have good stories behind them.

Unless they some how already got there self into a steady career were they can afford a 30+ k car new. I'm trying to get into real estate with my parents as my teachers so I can finally afford to mod my car how I want. This is just my thought on this whole thread and I don't want to offend the teens in here that are being completely honest with there hard workings to afford a nice car such as the Z all on there own, I mean it's alright to admit your parents bought it for you or maybe even helped. There just probably self cautious of what the older members may say to bring them down?
What ever the situation it's still just a car and it's still your life live it how you can, and take what you can before you go into the real world and work for everything you get. Some people are fortunate, some people aren't as lucky. It's just the way it is and I wish it were different but it's not. You can only just appreciate what you can get and hope you get what you work for later in life.
