You make a very valid point. Good job.

seriously... y does it matter that young kids like us have a Z? i see kids younger than me all the time driving BMWs, Benzs, and Porsches.. some people my age got the car because their parents bought it, some bought it cuz they worked for it.. in the end.. they have a Z and you can't change that.. stop arguing about maturity, how we're a menace to society with our SUPERcar, our young age, and how spoiled we are.. this does NOT concern you.

you're entitled to your opinions and we are entitled to ours. let's please stop the hating here. the way i see.. as long as both sides try to understand where the other is coming from, we can stop all this nonsense

most of it has nothing to do with kids parents giving them cars. Alot of it is that the 16-18 year old, daddy gave me the car crowd, make stupid posts on here about stupid things. Look some of them up. People post things like i am 16 my parents bought me a z and i just got a dui and i didn't do nuttin, how do i keeps my rents from findin out yo? Stuff like that. Then there are always the posts where the kid just shows/proves they shouldn't have any car at all. Most people don't feel the need to say how they got the car or how it is paid for or what age they are, but alot of the young kids do, and that is very annoying. And it is also fun to **** the youngins off, and trust you will do it too someday

I think the general hate is towards people who dont pay for their car, and had everything handed to them.

Good example is absolutrq.

ps. I have no hate towards the example.

I see it.
How exactly does a simple yes or no EVER answer the question "why is it such a big deal?" Nonetheless, it is quite clear that the original post was looking for a reason why, not a "yes or no" which doesn't fit at all. Yet here we are a few pages later with you getting upset for hearing exactly what you asked to hear.

Well, if your arguement is that not all people that have their cars bought for them act like immature snobs, you're certainly not doing a good job of proving to people that you're not one of them.

Like I said before, I don't hold any resentment towards people that had their cars bought for them, but rather for people that act like snobs about it afterwards and say crap like "lol hehe they just jealous I got my car and chicks when young tehe", or of course, the quote that you left behind a few posts up.

Well, the issue here of course is that this entire thread was based around the original poster asking for those opinions, which he has of course since renounced when he heard what he didn't want to hear.

Sure, your statement would make sense if it were posted in a thread about which wheels to get, but when the question that the entire thread is based around someone asking for those opinions, telling people to keep their opinions to themselves doesn't exactly make a whole lot of sense. That's like asking someone to hold your wallet and then yelling at them for having your wallet.

uh.. bad analogy.. and i just meant that people should stop bickering.. and ur right.. he did ask for opinions and he got them.. but i just wanted the hating to stop because after someone said something.. somebody would get offended and do the same to another and etc etc..

I in no regard have made any snob remarks. I've kept my respect for all owners in check. I didn't chose the Z to pick up girls etc. I already have a serious relationship, don't really need that. So before you go acusing me of something, see if I actually said it.

I didnt read all the posts.. but what i think is. ALOT of parents would much rather let their kids stay focused on school (especially asian parents) rather than having a job at high school and divert their attention. I had my job in senior year and bought the Z.. it was hard and my grades did suffer a little. second of all.. a Z or any new car should be MUCH safer than a 2nd hand beater that a kid can afford with his own job.. if i have kids, id buy them the safest new vehicle i can afford to spend on them.

i wont mind hummer if i can spare 60Gs and hundreds of bucks on gas a month.. :P

also i think alot of Asian kids drive the Z because of different cultural thinking.. Alot of Asian parents believe that they must raise their kid until they are out of school and parents have parts in paying for majority in the meanwhile. especially sons.. and when the kids are working, thats when they pay for the parents.

Because its children like JCA0688, 3hree5ive0ero, and FreeBaGel who continue to argue about driving a sports car. People like these need to be driving corollas and civics.

screw the haters![/QUOTE]
first of all it's attitudes like this that irritate me. a lot of the younger people on this board do not have any manners, such as yourself. most of you bring this on yourselves. bragging about your cars that daddy bought, and what kind of mods you can do with your 1000$ a week allowances. i'm not hating, or whatever you wanna call it. to me, now in my 30's, i consider owning a 350z an accomplishment. maybe when those that have a daddy-bought car actually pay for a vehicle they will understand.

You need to shut up. You're putting words in my mouth that I never said. I never bragged about anything, nor talked about mods I'm going to get. You're just acting immature for someone of 30 yrs old in my opinion.
