power window driving me nuts
I took the car in a few months ago to fix the grease window streaks and I wish that I never did. I would be happy to have them back.
The dealer did the work and the window has not been the same since. When I got it back, you could hear it bind when it went all the way up, like it was going too far. So I took it back and they fixed it.
I took it on the highway a few days later and there was wind noise! I took a closer look and it did not go all the way up and seal. It would also click and creak when going over bumps. I took it back again.
I come to pick it up the third time and I can tell even before I get to the car that the window was not all the way up. It was frozen in a partial-down spot. The tech came out and messed with it for a bit and got it to work. It did for a few days.
Now every once and a while the window will go down when I open the door, and just not try to go back up. I have to get in the car, but the key in the ignition and push on the glass to get it to "emergency" release and then I will have full control over it again.
My service writer is cool and all... but he said that this car is driving them crazy and that they hate these windows more than anything else.
This was also after it took them a month to diagnose a service engine soon light and I had to drive a Chevy Malibu rental car.
Time for something else?
Volvo S60 R?
Audi S4?

I think you need to see another dealer, sounds like they just don't know what they are doing. If they truly didn't know how to fix it they could call Nisan support and they would send them documents or walk them through it, problem solved!

My driver side window is wild. After I took it to fix the grease trace... Wish I never did... Now it often goes down 1/3 after I push button to close it. I push button to close it again and it's again going up and 1/3 down. Sometimes I need to hold button about 5 sec in UP position for window to stay closed. Sometimes I need to hold button UP and turn the ignition off and take the keys out and only then it'll stay closed. And sometimes i find my window 1/3 open when I came from the store or office... Since I'm past 50K miles, I imagine it may cost me fortune to fix
