Default Oil Leak-Thanks to Dealer

Last Monday took my 06 Grand Touring to my dealer, Venice Nissan for an oil change. Dealer is about 30 miles away, drove home parked in the garage & went to take it out today, have not seen it since Monday. Well garage floor soaked in oil, coming from under the motor, can't see where due to the cross member but it must be either the oil filter or drain plug that then "technician" failed to tighten properly. Calling Monday to demand a flat bed & they come clean up the oil in the garage. Will calling Nissan USA help, imagine if I had been riding it when it happened. Unreal how incompetant the techs are. Wonder if the dealer will give me a hard time. I am furious about this.

Was not just any outlet that did it but it was the dealer service dept. Also dipstick does not show any oil on it. Seems it is coming dead center of the motor. The puddle spread to the entire garage.

holy crap what a mess.... it's really sad when they can't even get an oilchange right... it makes you think they're on some good drugs or had a really hard bender the night before...

Like I said in previous posts, don't take it to the dealer, they are underpaid employees like Wal-Mart and Jiffy Lube who don't give a flying **** about your or anyone else's car.

DIY is the best bet next time, GL!

I would also demand a full complete check with you standing there. The funny part is, they will probably offer you some more free oil changes!

This happend to me a few weeks ago. I found about 3/4 L of oil on the garage floor. Dealer said it was a result of accumulated oil on the plastic wind deflector.
