Default hit and run count?

for me so far i have 3, two hits on my rear bumper, 1 in the middle in a parkin lot, 2nd one on my passenger side rear swipped at a parking lot. my 3rd hit and run doesnt really count since we caught her, my car was parked on the street and this lady driving knocked my mirror off and my 2-way alarm paged me, but i assumed it went off bcuz of the rain then i went to check it out and i saw her car and she took off, we chased her and she paid. i seriously cant stand worrying about my car anymore its driving me insane, please tell me im not alone. i dont feel safe unless my cars in a driveway. this car is my daily driver and i can only wish i had a beater.

Yeah, honestly, this car is very stressful. Sometimes I feel it isn't worth it. The parking far away, worrying, etc... Someone dinged my rear bumper before (it's small, but still there). Believe me bro, you aren't the only one. Looks like you've been around the boards for at least a year; remember how many people have gotten their cars keyed, dinged, hit, etc.? It's quite a bit... and this board only represents a small fraction of Z owners.

I live by this philosophy. Is my life THAT perfect that one of my biggest concerns is my car...?
I am **** about it, but I shouldn't worry as much. It's material, and it can be repaired/replaced.

Amen! I mean it still worries me and I'm still concerned with it, but I think, "There are wars going on in the Middle East where people are not even sure if they're going to see tomorrow; there are kids starving in third world countries; and I'm worried about this door ding here on my $30k car?" Of course I'm grateful for a good life and all and I still wouldn't want to hassle with door dings, etc. but this just helps me to put things in perspective.

Default I agree...

I work at a local dealership. I've owned my 350Z for almost a year now. I have counted 7 dings/dents in my car. I can get the dealership's paintless dent repair guy to do a couple of quick fixes. Does pretty good work too. But I've counted 7. Of course I get pissed. When people can't own up to their own mistakes and be reasonable, upstanding, and respectful people, that is where I draw the line. If I find someone that dings my car because they parked too close to it or were just careless, I'm laying into them. It's a matter of respect and courtesy. I'm seriously thinking of putting a camera system into my car. This not only has happened on my '05 Z but back when I was driving around my '04 civic. The civic had it the worse. The whole bumper and the right rear quarter panel had to be replaced and painted. Seriously, I don't care if you can't pay for it. You ARE going to pay for it if I witness it and if it just happens that you start running away from the scene. I am going to chase you down. Press charges for vandalism. I don't care if you're the run of the mill soccer mom. It's not that I worry. I treat other people's items with respect and I only expect the same. It's principle here and I'm sick and tired of people not taking responsibility for their actions.
