im used to driving my 98' isuzu amigo and that 4 banger usually took about 3k-3.5K rpm to switch from 1st to 2nd. But w/ the Z, i shift at lower RPM's because of the extra gear. It sucks, because I normally drive my friend's car and they're 5 spd, and are pretty much sh1za.

Hrm... interesting comments about smooth shifting. I personally add just the slightest amount of gas as I engage so that the engine braking doesn't get felt too much. I still think i shift pretty quickly but will this wear out my clutch really bady? It's just the slightest breath of gas so there isn't jerk.

The clutch can take some abuse and last a long long time. No need to split hairs.
