Buying a 350z soon.
Hey, Im new to the site and am going to be the owner of a 350z shortly. I am going into basic training for the United States Airforce and when I return, I will have made enough money for a down payment. I am interested in the burnt orange color, and was wondering what you think of a carbon fiber hood on that color? And if you know of any sites that have good parts (interior, exterior, engine...) please let me know. Thank you.

The Z hood is aluminum. It is not that heavy. You're better off spending the money on rims. If you want to loose weight, there are other options. You may look a little ricey with it and no performance mods. The z looks pretty fast as it is.

By then you will be either a E2 or O1. Budget will be pretty tight for payments, insurance and maintenance. Best of luck.

Man you guys are being pretty harsh on this guy. Anyway, Lemans sunset is a hot color. If youre considering the carbon fiber hood as your first mod than that may be a bit much for an otherwise stock Z. As someone said above..a nice set of deep dish wheels first would be IMO the best first mod if youre not really going for all out performance. Also get a Popcharger to replace your stock air filter, you will love it. After the wheels, then the CF hood will look like it maybe 'belongs' there. good luck man, and let us know when you get the Z!
