That's kinda what I'd hoped for anyway. Depending on how much you want to read into it you could take more away from what he actually said such as;

"The next generation Z will continue to deliver upon that promise. It will have considerably more performance than the current model and give a visual stimulus beyond today’s Z." & "We are continuing to pursue higher horsepower and torque in upcoming vehicle releases, initially through displacement changes."

Notice he called it a Z and not 350Z when talking about next gen along with displacement changes we could see a number/name change to 370Z, 380Z, 380GT or FairlaidyZ since they are going with the nissan badge for the GTR maybe they will adopt more of a worldwide name recognition for the Z as well in 2008. Pretty fun stuff!

GAWD DAMN! I just want an 07 right now, today. My Volks are going to leave permanent dents in my carpet if I don't put them on a car soon.

It's a lot of fun to speculate, and try to piece together this puzzle of spotty info that they've given us This is all very good timing for me, personally. I'm finally going to be ready to buy a Z 12-24 months from now. That should put us at the point in time when we're starting to learn some more solid details about the "next generation". I'll be able to weigh the prospect of getting an '07 (which I personally believe will be a fantastic ride), with waiting another 6-12 months for a next generation Z. Exciting I even like the new hood... so I'm going to be real tempted to get an '07, but I can wait until I find out more about the '08/'09 gen.

You must look for the constant.......Z.... it is the only thing that has carried through the years. So if you need a answer it will be called a Z. Dont waste time trying to find out the rest. It doesn't matter. We (240-350) all drive a Z.

I am giving this car to myself as a graduation present in may and i don't mind waiting a little longer to see them, but why the hell would he say march if everyone else is expecting jan????? Dont get it

Plus anyone think i am makeing a mistake on the 07 over the 06 z

Hell Yes, Dark Blue with the burnt orange interior is going to be a wicked combo. Still have to see it in person to make final judgement, otherwise I'll be going Black, and you know what they say about going Black!

Hell of a first post, my man. Definately scratched my itch with that. Now I just have to learn Japanese to understand wtf everything says.

That's the first pics of San Marino Blue I do believe. Props to you.

Definately not feeling the rear bumper of that V3 Nismo aero package. And still prefer the V1 wing over that one. I'm thinking V3 bumper already for my car though, since there really is no decent 06-07 lip out there yet. (No offense to those who picked up a INGS lip, I'm just not a fan)

So anybody wanna tell me wth this is/means?

PS
This unit (German: Pferdestärke = horse strength) is no longer a lawful unit, but is still commonly used in Europe, South America and Japan, especially by the automotive and motorcycle industry. It was adopted throughout continental Europe with designations equivalent to the English "horse power", but mathematically different from the British unit. It is defined by the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB)[1] in Braunschweig as exactly:

1 PS = 75 kp·m/s = 0.73549875 kW = 0.9863201652997627 hp (SAE)
The PS was adopted by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN) and then by the automotive industry throughout most of Europe, and is always measured at the wheels, as opposed to most factory horsepower figures, which are rated at the crank (which is measured right off the motor, not accounting to any drivetrain loss, which is especially considerable in an All wheel Drive configuration).

In the 19th century, the French did not use this German unit, but had their own, the Poncelet. In 1992, the PS was rendered obsolete by EEC directives, when it was replaced by the kilowatt as the official power measuring unit, but it continued to be used for commercial and advertising purposes, as customers were not familiar with the use of kilowatts for combustion engines.

I think it's safe to say that we'll be getting 306 hp here in the states.

Glad to add something new to the discussion.

Someone earlier in this thread pointed out that the paint code for the new blue color is the same as that for an existing Infiniti dark blue, and guessed that they would look similar. Looks like she/he was right.

Version NISMO Type 380 RS will be added on summer 2007...!

I guess this replaces deleted 'Track' version.. with 3.8L VQ?? Wow.
This means GTR certainly will have VQ38TT... and 380Z in '08 or '09!!!!
