High-pitched squeal above 4.5k rpm

High-pitched squeal above 4.5k rpm
Well, today I finally got on my Z and made it go fast, hah! 
Err, anyway...
When I pushed it anywhere passed 4.5k rpm, I noticed a slight high-pitched squeal. My Z is not turbocharged; I wish.
Anyone know what this might be?
Also, it's not my pop charger. I have my stock box on at the moment. Could it still be the air flow?

anyways...welll my sound comes on along anywhere from 2k rpm and up...its not consistent...i was looking to find maybe a spot where the heat shield would maybe be rubbing up against something....i dunno tho...
It sounds like the popcharger sucking in air but at a very high pitched note...almost metallic.

I had that noise too when stock. I always thought it was just the sound of the stock intake, and the popcharger enhances that sound. Guess it's the gears =P
