Default 350Z resale value

Nissan seems to have flooded the market with Z's. On Autotrader or eBay for example there are a ton available for sale, which seems to have quickly lowered their resale value. Is this true?

They hold their value, just not above 30K.
Most of them end up around 20K, regardless of trim.

Its just a simple issue of supply and demand. I see on average about 7-8 Zs on the freeway on my way to work every morning. You guys have to keep in mind that the Z isn't a specialty car or a limited production car, its a mass market GT/Sports car. The engine is shared with other platforms and its easy to produce tons of them.

On a side note, my Evo is more rare than the 350 and I'm still probably going to take a huge hit on it when I either trade it in or sell it for my Z.

the z's hold the value pretty well. atleast a lot better than some other cars. i bougth my 2000 mustang gt in 2003, it was worth $15,000 when i bought it(keep in mind the car was already 3 years old when i bought it). i just sold the mustang about a month ago and it was worth $9,200. so basically i lost $5,800 worth of value on a car that was already used when i bought it in 3 years. now THATS ****ty resale value

You made out well. Only Losing 35% of the value after 3 years of driving it in a 7 year old car? You did VERY Well.

I don't care if it has 10,000 Miles on it, I wont give anyone $9,200 for a 2000 Mustang. Thats just Crazy. $6-7K, Max.

well that's what they said it was worth on kbb. i sold mine for $11,700 because it's was absolutely perfect and also had $11,000 in mods. i think they did pretty good on that deal personally. even though mods arent supposed to add value to the car it's basically like they bought all my mods and then i threw in the car for an additional $700. he was a car enthusiast so i saved him like $8,000 if he were to buy the mods himself. and it was a mustang GT (v-8) not just a mustang(v-6) so the gt's have a higher value. if it were just a mustang then yeah i wouldnt pay more than $7k

i don't thinnk the Z has any resale value. recently i got appraisal from carmax. KBB stated $19,500 for excellent condition trade in. and fair for $17,500 something. Carmax appraser told my car is in low mileage, no accident, and in perfect condition. but i got only $16,000 for it. it is below fair trade in value. my car is 2004 350z enthusiast AT with 29k miles. my 02 s2000 has better value then my 350z.

Probably not, many folks want 6MT in a Sports car, especially the younger "bucks" that can just now afford the Z at 20K.
