Default buying 04 350Z touring

Hello,
I am getting ready to buy an 04 Touring AT with 80,000 miles for $16,000. What should I look for as far as any problems that are common to this model.
Thanks in advance.
DP

I just sold my '04 touring for an '06 GT... On my '04 the hatch wouldn't stay up when it was cold outside, and that was about all that was wrong with it. It only had 29k miles on it though... They say the clutch needs replacing @ every 50k miles. Brakes @ every 40k miles... It didn't burn oil, everything was good. No squeaks or rattles. Reliable. Fast... Guess that's why I bought another one! :-)

Run a Carfax; have mechanic inspect.

You should be able to get that down to 14K-15K (giving them the benefit of the doubt that it's in mint condition)

Definitely have it checked out by a mechanic first though.. I recommend that on all used cars.

my '04 touring at 28xxx miles daily driven no problems except for tires (sh*tenzas ftl) every car is different so +1 on having a neutral 3rd party mechanic inspecting it!

On a "rethink" here, I'd "look" for another Z; 80,000 is a lot of miles for any year.
