I have to buy a car with an auto---should i get a 350z?
There will be a million guys who will trash any automatic tranmission, and they will tell you to get a different car or get the manual.
In a perfect world I would agree with them. However, I got an auto tran Z so my wife could also drive it, and I love it. I live in Seattle where there are tons of steep hills. I'm great at driving a manual but stopping and starting on the steep hills in downtown Seattle with people on your bumper is not fun. Also, I use the Z as a daily driver, and I don't mind having a free hand.
I say, don't listen to everyone else and get the auto Z. You will LOVE it !!! It rides smooth and tight with plenty of acceleration.

I really love the 350z but I am wondering if its worth it to get it in an auto? Is it still fun to drive?
I am also looking at the g35 sedan, coupe, bmw 328i, bmw 335i, audi a3 3.2
I'd rather just go with the 350z cause its the least expensive and will give me the most for the money and I'll have $$ for mods. If i get either of the bmws, I'd HAVE to lease it which i really dont wanna do.
I am just wondering which ones out of those cars will give me the best driving experience with an automatic, whether the tiptronic will be fast or what.
I cannot get a used m3 with smg cause my parents are paying for part of this and it has to be new with warranty.
thanks

I don't like the look of the 4 door G at all. It just looks like a fancy Altima, and not that sporty at all. I don't mind the 2 door G, but I still love the Z the most.

THe quality is amazing in the new g of the interior and that car is pretty damn fast for a stock car. Itll def keep you having fun, its nice, fast, rwd, and you can have a blast in it. I vote goes for the new g35, BTW the auto in the 335i totally kills the car, sooooo boring. I dont know if an auto z is the best idea, but test drive them youll never know.
i have an 06 5AT..... and i just bought an 06 Audi A3 2.0T AT(DSG) basically for when i need a back seat and trunk space.... anyhow, i am very satisfied with the Z AT but i do think that it would have been much more enjoyable with an automatic system such as the audi's..... the DSG system is truly amazing...... (for the audi, the automatic is faster than the manual 0-60, it's written in the brochure + the paddles on the steering column are a lot of fun)......
not knocking the Z's 5AT tranny, but, it could be better with the new DSG/MSG systems that are out..... hopefully nissan has this in the works (crossing fingers)
