I think 90% of the people on here have scraped, I know I have. it happens, and itll probably happen again... theres certain areas on the car that I accept will not stay perfect forever, these include the underside of the front bumper and the floor mats. I try to keep them perfect, but if something happens, I refuse to get totally upset.

well if it helps, Im not sure where you hit, but you can cover it either with the nissan carbon fiber finisher that goes over the center bar of the grill. or with a lip from top secret or any of the other body kits.

give yourself a second chance, wait like 5 months tho, you start to learn what you can and cant clear and hopefully wont do it to your new cover up peice.

Default Touch up

I pulled into a hotel circular drive and forgot those wheels are at the corners - dinged my right front rim a little (which can't be easily repaired, I'm afraid) and the curb caught the underside corner of the bumper and eroded and chipped the paint.

I bought touch up paint from Courtesy (guess you can order it from any dealership). A while back, I bought a book on auto painting from Barnes and Noble for work on my chevy. It has a good section on touchup. Suggest you go to B&N, find an auto paint book, enjoy a cup of coffee and read the section on touchups to see what prep is involved and to decide on approach. I think you can get it very close if you prep it right.

Good luck. Like ares said, if you drive the car, stuffs gona happen.

Expeirence is always a plus. After owning several sports cars you get used to driving into spots carefully. I always turn or "ease' out onto or from a curb when pulling out or into an area that may scrape the front. If you pull into a "ramp" turn into it from the left or right sharply; donot go straight up or when you are comming down turn at an angle sharply, this will avoid scraping the painted area. Sometimes though, you may hear a rub but that is the metal---If the damage is under the car, chances are when you paint it up you won't be able to tell. TIP--touch up the damage area seperately. use light coats it will bend better!

Yeah, I have learned from my past experiences with sports cars. 3000 miles so far, and no scrapes at all. I just tell myself, "no rushing, no matter what" each time I pull up to a slope. I don't care if people are honking, whatever, I'm not going to be rushed. That has always been when I've scraped cars in the past.
