I drive that road all the time...lots of puddles and steeply arced. And you nailed it, first rain after a dry spell is the worst.

I know *** sends out their collision repair to some place on Hillsborough Ave. so they will have to either drive or flatbed your car there. I'd personally find a reputable shop and take it directly to them to avoid the potential for headaches involving a third party. e.g. What happens if you go to pick up your car and notice something's not right...then they have to transport it across town and back again to fix something small.

There is a place on Armenia and 275 called Salemi's right around the corner from where you wrecked. I haven't used them, but would based on exterior appearances alone. The facility is the cleanest, most well kept and constructed I've seen. I don't know if they will take walk-in work, but I would give them a try b/c the place looks so clean and orderly. Anyone that **** about the fence, grass, building, signage, etc. takes pride in their work. Also seen a few new Z's there and other nice cars. Good luck.

Gene Perez (I think that's the name) is supposedly a REALLY good shop. I would have taken my car there when I had my accident but they don't take Progressive customers

I knew that it was going to be bad out there because of the first real rain so I decided to stay home. Glad I did, my friend said they were getting pummeled with calls from accidents.

I know the shop you're talking about, you're right, it seems like a good place to take it to.

that's who did my car. I have to say that they had it for WAY too long and my paint is chipping on my front fender.

It's a lifetime warranty but I have to find the 8 hours to sit there and hang out while they fix it

I had just made a left turn on to Howard Ave. (one-way traffic) driving normally, shift to 2nd, take it up to about 35mph and shift to 3rd. That's when it happened. As I get back on the gas the rear end slides out to the right and I'm now traveling sideways, brakes locked up (wasn't thinking, it happened SO fast). I started out in the far right lane and slid sideways across the two other lanes and got t-boned inbetween the driver's door and front fender by a lady in a Chrylser Pacifica. The impact was light enough that her airbags didn't deploy, all she needs is a new bumper. My Z on the other hand didn't fair so well, but it doesn't look too bad. It could've been much worse.

i know how it feels bro about 3 months ago the same thing happened to me but instead i hit a fire hydrant and the guard pole in front of it.
