As long as you just hit your head you should be fine.

When are you expected to pick the car up? The reason I estimated less than $5000 is because I had the drivers side door, sideskirt, fender and both track wheels on that side replaced back in the day. All that came to slightly over $5500, and a lot of that was due to the $800/wheel **** raping Nissan dishes out for those wheels. Car should be fine.

The dude said it looks to be about $2-3000, the wheels are fine. He said it *should* be about a week, but we all know how that goes...

Hydroplaning starts at about 35mph so you must've hit one of those 'lake' sections of the road where water builds up. I keep it under 35 when going through those and have been lucky so far.

To diwun67 : you were lucky man , I totalled my Red 03 Z against a pole. It was auto , and what did you in was the shift shock . Try shifting at no more than 2,500rpms and drop the clutch in nice and softly each time on slippery weather. I learned the hard way and went side ways twice trying to dodge opposite traffic and trying to straighten out the car before hitting a pole.

Thankfully though I learned my lesson that day and went to dealer and got a spanking new Silver 07 6spd instead for more shift control when faced with slippery weather. Though I'll never go out and try to make it back home before a snow storm again.

I didn't hit a puddle, it just got immediately sideways. All I could was hold on.

No their body shop is NuFinish on Faulkenburg. I felt better about the place I took it to because the owner often posts on the Florida Z club site, and offered to "help" me out

Not that I haven't thought about it, but right now I just don't have the extra cash and just want the car back to the way it was.

Limited slip dif. and traction contoll could have helped. In the mean time take it slow when the road is wet! My 2 cents.
