Ok, I would really love for you to take a spin on the road I was on which has a steep slope to it right after it started raining after it hasn't in a month. Why is that important? Lots of oil and grime creating a film making for a nice slippery surface. Point of the matter is you weren't there.
Yep. Sounds like it was probably the road this time. We don't have much trouble up here in the North with the rain after dry. My first experience with that was when I visited my friend in Vegas years ago. It hadn't rained all week. We are on the main strip near MGM. Driving 25-30mph in a Plymouth Horizon. All of a sudden it starts pouring rain. We are at least 200 ft away from the intersection and the light turns yellow and he yells "oh ****" (becuase he knew what we were in for from living out there 4 years). I could see from the back seat that he just barely touched the brake pedal and we were skating away and starting to fishtail a little trying to stop before the light. Exactly like being on a solid sheet of ice. We actually came to a stop a little after the light. Unbelievable how slick it was.
