It cost me $900.00 to take a ding out of my door. It was a bad one. (looked like someone shot it with a pellet gun.) Alberto's guess is probably right on. $2000 isn't.

Ouch man, I'm in South FL and the rain was just nasty yesterday from the storm! I try to stay in when we get an all day rain event...those roads get so wet and filled with water it's just an accident waiting to happen on any street.

It was funny, when I saw that fire hydrant it reminded me of my only car accident ever. Was with my 200SX SE-R, first car I ever owned. It was after a rain storm and I was driving home and all of a sudden my back tire blew. Did two 360's and next thing you know I'm in a small ditch. I get out, checked the damages and next thing I see is a fire hydrant spewing water in the air. By the time any help came the ditch got filled with water and my car was officially deemed totalled from all that water damage.

Glad to hear you or the other driver were not hurt...but make sure you check a doctor cuz after my accident I felt fine, 2 months later I couldn't move my neck for a week!

Sorry to hear about this. I had my own hydroplane accident.

I hope your body is alright, impact looked like you could've gotten shaken round.

When it rains here everyone drives the same as if it was dry. The accident rate goes up about 10,000% when it rains.

Basically, we don't get this whole 'rain' thing.

they won't.. they will try to value the parts at the highest possible prices.. i would say right now you are looking at new fender... new door.. new mirror.. new glass.. new speaker... new window motor.. yadda yadda yadda... thats if they feel they can't pull the dent and repaint it

glass isn't broken and motor still works (I only rolled it down about an inch to see if it's still good), speaker is still good (still playing, I still gotta pull it out), mirror is fine. I'll see what the adjuster says tomorrow.

some guy ran into the back of my jeep a month ago.. he had progressive.. i reported it the same day.. they allowed me to drop off my jeep at their center and gave me a free rental the following day.. they fixed my jeep within a week..

they didn't replace the tailgate though.. although it wasn't as bad as your door.. they pulled it and repainted it.. they replaced the bumper
