With the Z coming down in cost (A high mileage Z around $16000) more people are getting their hands on it. If you have notice the daily number of people on this site is growing. Witch means that the Z is starting to enter into the price range of more people, witch are going to be wanting to mod their cars, but not spend money (ie fabricate parts). I see the Z becoming the new Honda civic of the 21st century. Expect to see more riced out Z's in the near future.

nah I dont think so.
here is why.
the ppl that rice out cars usually cant drive.
ricer + rear wheel drive car that has more power then anything they have ever had = crashed Z's
I say let them have it and the number of Z's on the road will go down. Our Z's will be more rare in the future.

You have more forum members now not necessarily because the older models are becoming affordable. It may be because the 350Z is starting its 5th year on the market. '07 prices are still quite high for most people but new '06 models that are still on the lot are being sold at much lower cost than last year. In addition, you have current owners who are looking at the '07 models as a trade-up for their older models.
I don't see the Zs becoming the preferred rice cars in the near future. For one thing, the insurance cost for our cars will not be as affordable (I think) as the Civics since our Zs are classified as sport cars. And just one look at the previous generation Zs will show you that most Zs are owned by enthusiasts, not ricers.

the price has to eventually stop going down. its not like in 4 years they are gonna cost $5k. its gotta hit a mark like... $12k where it stops. or else im gonna sell mine in the near future.
atleast we'll be able to make fun of other Z owners.... cuz at this time we cant really, cuz none are riced out.

What a child
aftermarket on the Z is fairly expensive compared to other cars out there so that will controll it form gettign riced out... what i am more worried is stupid kids street racing and driving the insurance price up....
plus once the VQ hits over 1000whp consistantly then that will control the price as well
