Default Parking lot douchebags?

I went to the mall this past Sunday, and as I always do, I parked my car at the very end of the outdoor lot where nobody parks. No matter what car, be it my Maxima, the FX, or now my Z...why in God's f-ing name must some annoying bastard park right next to my car when there's a slew of spots available all around.

The Z clearly gets the wrong kind of parking lot douchebag attention, the hater type. First a Mazdaspeed 6 parks next to me, and then an STI. It's clearly intentional. I actually liked the MS6, since he gave me a good amount of distance, but the STI parked door-to-door with me. The hell? I inspected for dings, obviously, thinking that if I had found one, I'd return the favor with some flat tires.

Thankfully my car was clean, and if anybody here, by any random chance, owns a silver STI and you parked next to my DBZ in Roosevelt Field Mall on Sunday - you're a parking lot douchebag, my friend.

/Rant =)

Share your stories. Do people ever purposely park their cars right next to yours in completely deserted lots?

Nah, not slashed tires - just let the air completely out. Although fixing a door ding does cost as much as tire...so maybe just one? =)

if there is adequate room to open a door and it is a nice car, i don't mind if they park next to me. Otherwise, i am looking for dents and dings. I am lucky i have none yet. I think people take extra care when seeing my car because it doesn't look stock anymore..at least it comforts me to think so.

No matter where you live... or where you park... or where your car is...

There will be the case where someone parks next to you. You need to get past that.

Believe it or not, not every person who parks next to you is a douchebag.

For example, I parked at a movie theater a good bit away from the front, and when I came out, an STI of the same color was parked right beside me, facing the same way.

But guess what? No door dings, no nasty post it notes. It just looked really cool.

People with nice cars need to stick together. Take it as a compliment, or playfulness.

PS: If one was parked too close, and the other too far away, maybe you PARKED like a douche bag.

This is quite common with Zs. I and many others have experienced exactly the same thing.

I find that to be true. When I circle a parking lot and can't find my ideal spot, I try to look for a car belonging to someone with the same parking philosphy as me. Usually these cars are expensive and well cared for.
Of course, I'd offer him the same respect I'd expect from him and not cramp his style

And.. notice that dings most often are in the passenger's door.
