How much money do you have? If cost isn't an issue, and if you don't have kids, stick with the Z and slap twins on.

If cost is an issue, you got kids, dogs, only one car, etc. Get the Evo. And don't waste the money for an MR. Get a IX GSR SE... can be had brand-new for close to that price. The only thing on the MR worth a damn over the GSR SE would be the shocks (which most people upgrade suspension anyways). The six-speed is known to have issues (4th gear specifically), while the 5-speed is near bullet-proof.

Another question... is the lady your wife? If not, tell her to shove it. She's not the decision maker until she's wearing a ring.

That's odd... my Z was never "floppy".

Yes, because everyone will be able to afford that.

Do what you want, not what your lady wants.

If you need a 4 door, then go out and buy a family sedan and keep the Z.

What kind of car does the lady have anyways?

It all really depends on what you want in a car. If you want an all out raw performance car that happens to also have four doors, a generous back seat and all season capability then get an Evo. I had a IX MR and it was simply incredible. With just a tbe, boost controller and an AMS dyno tune it produced 354 whp and 342 wtq on 93 oct.

You will have to spend much more on the Z to equal that and you have to consider the fact that the Evo is a safe daily driver with these mods.

The steering and handling of the Evo is remarkable and the steering is excellent. But, the interior is poor compared to the Z. Also, most people don't know **** about cars so they don't take the Evo seriously. That may or may not matter to you but eventually it does get old. The Z on the other hand looks like a mature and sophisticated car and it does get respect.

Also- What is that dude talking about doing a TT on an Evo? It's already turbo'd and why on earth would you put 1 turbo per 2 cylinders? They would have to be pretty small or the lag would be horrible. Makes no sense at all. Big *** single turbo FTW!

Here's a pic of my Evo-

Hows this idea, dunno if anyone mentioned this, but how about you TT the Z, and buy a cheaper beater car, like a civic, accord, camry etc etc. That way you can have a reliable gas efficient car and still have your fun Z.

Edit. can buy those cars used for pretty cheap like a 2000 or earlier model

Funny that this question is asked so much. Every now and then its a Z vs. STI thread, but a lot of the time it is Z vs. EVO thread.

if u have kids, you def. need the back seat. bite the bullet and get the evo. i'd wait for the new one though cuz it'll have alot better styling than the current ones but it's up to you and your money situation.

otherwise, if u dont need the backseat that much... TT the Z. fast and sexy ftw. i honestly feel a TT z will get more looks than an evo with stickers or something.
