Default Security systems

Is anyone considering lojack? If so how much is the initial install and the monthly fee. I would hate to see someone steal my brand new car. Factory security is usually not enough.

I've been considering the same thing. I remember talking to the dealer about it when I ordered, but don't know the costs.

Anyone?

Thanks.

A coworker of mine just had a Lo-jack system installed in his '02 Mustang. He paid around $1200 for the Lo-Jack System w/alarm. It cost around $500 to $600 for just the Lo-jack system including installation of course. Its a 1 time fee, no monthly monitoring fees. The top of the line w/all the bells and whistles such as motion/shock sensors is about $1500. I get exact #'s tomorrow. This was about 2 months ago. I want the same thing for my "Z" for the insurance discount.

Default Lo Jack pays for itself

GET THE LO_JACK, it should not be more than $550. Also with in about 3 or 4 years you will save the money you spent for it, in insurance. SO i reccomend it to everyone, i just got it on my G35, and i plan on getting it in my350z (no pun intended )

Motion sensor is a pricey expenditure.... Although since this is going to be a hot car, it may keep some kid finger prints of your windows

I suggest you check with your insurance company about LOJAK. It only reduced my total premium by a mere $10 per year !!!

It cost me $400 total @ the dealer. They wanted 750, and I told them I could get it elsewhere for 400 (total bluff). Next thing you know I got it for 400 :-)
