Shifting is ****in sexy, having a car drive for you is not....auto trans are not meant for sports cars but for luxury cars, its ok if your a girl though, most are going for appeal than pure racing. But yes it does get frustrating in stalled traffic but then again everyone has their own opinion and yeah its worth it to me to shift and have total control of my car

Woke up cranky I see. This thread isn't that old, but this subject has been talked about for years. Notice that I have not been calling you names (like douchette, *** etc) It's not necessary since you are coming across like a fool anyway. You don't get that I don't care if you have a MT or not. We get the tranny that best suits our needs. A 6MT doesn't make your dick any bigger.
Normally I don't waste this much time on a teenager, but you are kind of entertaining.

 

That seemed to be what you were implying to me but now it seems like you saying: "Hey the new Skyline is auto and thats cool, so I guess my Z's auto is cool too".

 

Implyiing??? The reading comprehension in this thread sucks. I don't care what people think of my 5AT, it's what I need to commute in. I don't think it is cool or uncool. I also race it though and it works well for me there too. The comments that you are not manly unless you "row" your Z are just from insecure males that wish they had bigger dicks. The reality is that fast cars are going to an auto like tranny. Like it or not that is what is happening. I like early flathead ford motors too, but that isn't what people are using to race with these days. They won't be racing floor shift MT's either.

One of the other "educated" comments "manumatic tiptonic tranny" What the hell is that? The 5AT just has a manual mode, but it is an auto.
BTW I don't miss shifts when I race.

People have their own personal reasons why they decided on a 6MT or 5AT and I respect that, but it's really stupid for some people to justify their purchase of a 5AT by comparing it to advanced "autos" in higher end sports cars.

I DD my 6MT in probably one of the toughest regions in this country, and I don't ***** about how hard it is.

id rather miss my shifts in my 6mt than be on a race track in my little more than stock auto 350z, But IF you cant shift right you prob shouldnt be on a race track anyways. But you do win my manly friend.
