Man o man, ive never had a sports car before, but all of a sudden since I got the Z it seems like everybody is constantly trying to race me. It was fun the first few times, but its getting old fast. I imagine all you guys go through the same thing?

Here in south florida I get "revvvved at" all the time. Like you said, at first it was fun, but now it's like... go find someone else to play with...I ain't got the time.....Unless you REALLY have something under that hood of yours !!!!!

 

Ehh I guess so. Im not gonna lie, I did get spanked from an 85mph roll the other day by a c5 z06 with a 408 stroker, makin 560 whp. But other than that Ive been doing good.

 

Seems like the cool thing around here is to have a cheap car that can be made fast cheap to go beat the nicer and more expensive cars. I don't get.

 

Yeah when I was on the freeway before some guy in one of the newer GTO's got right up on my tail and then hammered it past me, slowed down then did it again. I know those new GTO's have corvette motors dont they, even if I was in the mood I dont think I could have taken him in a straight. Round some bends though it might be different.

 

The ls2 6.0 does. Just check the exhaust. If it has two tips, it's the corvette motor, if it's one tip, it's the ls1 which is still quick.

 

my rule is i dont even look overunless i hear the other cars engine roar over my music

If someone flies past me or floors it from a red light and coasts so they get back beside me, I put an amazed look on my face and clap obnoxiously.

no one wants to race me, i have no idea why. in 2 years of Z ownership, i can honestly say ive had less then 5 people who wanted to race me.

Just so everyone knows, word around is that the 350z is a mid 14's to low 15 second cars. So every rice car out there will try to race and beat you to brag. These cars don't try to race and lose. They are thinking they will win. Just ignore them. In most cases, you will have the better overall car anyways.
