Nope, never has that happened to me

 

show them Z pride, so they won't mess with Z again,!

 

I haven't had mine a real long time, but nobody has tried to race me. Maybe it's because it's still stock looking, maybe it's because I look to old to street race (which is true), I don't know.

I'll tell you one thing though. My previous car was an evo, and I couldn't go anywhere without someone trying to race me in that thing. I must say it's a relief not to have to deal with that anymore.

 

not the case for me, no one wants to race me now, but when i am drving my work vehicle (a POS ford ranger) EVERYBODY wants to race.

 

hehe i got that all the time but i when i see the guy who want race with me i rev the engine 2 times and i start very slow, the guy burn the tire and the cop pool over the guy

 

lmao.... well being a younger z driver at first I was into the whole racing scene and running it on the highway... until I got stop for street racing... damn what a horrible experience... the ticket was dismissed but since then I have cooled it... but still the feeling you get from racing is great... here is a video of me against an sti who thought he had a chance.... lmao

I always seem to get the fossils in their 740il's and xks's just trying to prove that more money=more car.

I always have the bad luck of it happening to me with the 1st mile of taking the Z out for a spin. It's usually some little jacka$$ in a ricer that cost less than my rims.

On occassion I'll get the guy in his late 20's or early 30's that wants to go at it in an SUV, BMW, or Camaro also....

 

Im payin about $3.40/gallon. Unless I know I can win and its for money I will not race anyone. I shall set my cruise control and listen to my beautiful Fast Intentions Intimidator. That never gets old!

I get more ppl trying to race me when Im in my 3000gt.

 

Not all of em have the Z06 Motor (500HP), you can tell by the special emblem on the passengers front fender & a badge on the rear trunk also passengers side.


In reality only a small few of em are Z06 motors, they are trying to bluff you.

They are American Junk

 

hahaha where i live everyone wants to race a z even porsches, i have a jwt tt thats completely hidden straight sleeper so they think they are just racing a stock z with an exhaust. so i end up making them feel really bad about themselves (esp when my turbo cost as much as their car) to the point where they want to commit suicide especially the porsche guys. and i cant help but laugh. i love my z.

 

I really believe its where you live. If you live in Rice Central your gonna get that (So. Cal, FL), but being up north (Mass) I have been tested maybe once by a WRX on the highway. Usually ppl just stare at me, cus they think its a super car (nothing but SUV's and sedans where I am).

 

always have the kids reving it up at me, all i do is turn the stereo up, smile and wave...sorry, just cruising!!

 

The first day I bought my car and was on my way home with it, and I still remember it as if were yesterday. I had a modded C5 vette revving at me with dark tint. I couldnt see who was driving. But he kept trying to race me from a roll. Revving it, flooring it, slowing down, and revving it again. I was like are you sh*ttin me? I'm breaking my car in first of all since I just got it and second of all I'm not racing a stock Z against a modded C5. Thanks anyway. LOL. But yeah, I get a lot of people trying to race me for some reason. Its even worse if you're modded. If you dont want to race, just pretend you didnt see them.

 

For the past few months of owning my Z, no one has tried to race me. However, today a blue mini cooper with black racing stripes tailgated me for quite a while, then did a flyby as I turned off the road. I guess thats the closest I've come to a race. I got more action back when I was driving honda's... must've been the v-takK powerR.

 

Most recent was last night. I had a guy at the stop light with a 2001 Passat black all blacked out. I just laughed. I know from experience with my 07 GTI that with some money the 2.0t can be wicked fast. The same goes for the 1.8t, if thats what he had. I didn't race him though. It was on the same street I got pulled over on and about the same time of night. I held back.

 

ive raced everyone on the highways but it seems like vettes and camaros just dont want to race, they blow past racing another vette and then back down when i go to race them, its actually very funny

 

Check this out! I was going home on this one way, it was dark and this car was riding my tail i was like WTF.. Stomped on it got a head then he caught up. wtf again! .
Then we were coming up on a stop light which turns into two lanes. As soon as we got to the light it turned green and it was on!...I stopped on my 350z and before I knew it, this 300zx whizzed by me! I had to double check that my foot was all the way to the floor! at least he waved as he passed!..lol

 

I never get challenged in my Z. In my Matrix I get it quite often but I never race. In my old car I was drivin my mom somewhere and an rx-7 revs up on me.

Today I gotta take my granny to the heart doc..so im sure Ill get challenged again...

 

I rarely get people wanting to race, I usually get looks, and a few "Nice car man", and thumbs up. which are cool.
