I have to agree as far as the Evo goes stock for stock... that thing has the most amazing steering response i have ever experienced. You can literally say "no, i want to be 5mm to the left", point the car and go. Sometimes my IX would get a bit taxing on really screwed up roads simply because it would take an effort to keep it pointed in the right direction because it would react to the slightest change in the road surface but that felt great even when the going got rough. Why did i sell my IX MR in that case? It is a long story but in the end i am glad i did and i am enjoying the Z more vs. when i got my Evo. Hey, it might be due to the age thing (thanks to all that pointed that out, i will have to get back at ya with revealing pics of my various hot female comanions ) but it might have to do with something with the Evo being an extension of a compact shitbox vs. the Z being in a league of its own. I could probably try to explain but i'll spare you the "wall of text".

the mod bug bit with my new car and i think
with my Z it just hadnt crossed my mind to mod
it at that point......

when i get my new Z, i plan on modding

My car isn't paid off... neither are my student loans... and I don't own a house or live with my parents... aka my money goes towards my living expenses. No, I am not going to put everything on a credit card and get more in debt. I know that if the time comes and I need to, selling a stock car is one hundred times easier than selling modded. And my warranty stays in tact. And I can't have a boy-racer look when pulling up to work each day...

Upgrading the sound system is fine, along w/ tasteful rims (Nismo), but anything else, in my opinion, is excessive. If I want a faster car, I will buy one. Stock Z is great the way it is.

2005 Enthusiast 6 Spd, bone stock with 26k, I bought it new and I just bought my first set of tires for it. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I paid it off last month and I'm keeping it till the wheels fall off. I love this car just the way it is.

 

2006 Touring 6spd Roadster. Got it in June of 06. It stayed stock until Sep 07 when I put on a nismo exhaust and a popcharger at about 9k. Now at 13k June 08 I just got nismo headers. I have 5 vehicles: 2 cars, a truck, a bike, and a jetski and they all have exhausts. For me, driving, riding or whatever, is nothing without the sound that goes with it. If I had a Honda Fit, It would probably have an intake and exhaust too, as ridiculous as that may sound. Not an obnoxious exhaust, but a proper sounding exhaust. I absolutely adore the exhaust note on this car even in its stock form. It's just too quiet for me. Believe me, I have nothing against modding or anything like that I just don't have the disposable income i used to. This car's job is to get me there and be fun to drive and it does those, and that's why I bought it in the first place.
