1:16 Monday morning in Vegas ---

Three drivers drinking in a bar, decide to find out who has the fastest set of wheels. One was a 350Z, another was a BMW and the third was a Honda. (models not listed)

The Z car driver lost control, hit a pedestrian, two light poles, a half dozen or so trees, two water manifold boxes, a sign pole and a moving trailer before bursting into flames.

The other two drivers fled the scene, but were caught by police hours later. They admitted drinking and racing, and one man actually said he didn't feel he was involved with the accident.

The Z driver was dead in his burned out vehicle.

Makes you think!!!

 

So who won???

 

I'd say you and I "won". One less idiot a) street racing with people and stuff around and b) DRIVING DRUNK.

How are you suppose to get good at drunk driving if you don't practice???

Y'know, something like that could have happened to me if I weren't aware of the dangers involved in doing that. A friend of a friend started ranting about how he could beat a Z with his Mustang just after hearing I had a Z. I was strongly tempted, but I realized that I had at least three Coronas on my system, heaven knows how many the other guy had. Just turned a deaf ear in that direction and concentrated on the honeys buzzing by...

 

The way the story begins sounds like the beginning of some sort of sick joke.

 

Very sad. The happy ending is that they didn't hurt or kill anyone but themselves! It just amazes me how many people think that they are unimpared by drinking. I know a guy (kind of a friend) who does it all the time. He owns a corvette with NOS + other mod's and an NSX. He drives extremely fast most of the time. What's even worse is his wife does it too. She's usually driving the NSX. I guess they want to keep it in the family.
