Default lemon law

my nissan experience.

-pick up my brand new 2006 enthusiast with no miles in january of 07.

-26,000 miles later engine makes wierd noise so i bring it to nissan. they make me drive my car around for 1500 miles and tell me to come back for an oil consumption test. well sure enough it needed a new engine.

-a week an a half later nissan i pick up my car with a brand new engine covered under factory warranty.

-on the way home i smell gas...just assumed in was the new engine breaking in. i went home and the strong smell of gas drew my attention to under the hood. gas was leaking all over the egine.

-i call up nissan they tow my car fix the problem.

-now 5k miles later on my new engine the oil consumption problem is starting again.

is there a lemon law or any way i can get a new z from nissan?

Laws vary by state. Check with a local lawyer.

Are you saying that the wierd noise was related to the OC problem?

I think it is "three times same problem"

so you'd be on... your fourth motor

I hope I'm very very wrong!

Most states have a 24,000 mile law. I just went through it and the process sucks but I beat Jeep

yes the weird noises were do to the OC problem. the oil was so low at one point that the piston rods were knocking on the engine. i called nissan corporate and complained after the first engine... the best they did was give me 500 dollars off a new car from nissan if i didnt want my oil consuming z anymore... hopefully they can do somethin a little better now that its happening again
