My last one was a 1991 300ZX TT and previous to that a 1982 280ZX. The 280ZX travelled with me around the world, Panama, Spain, Turkey, and England (I'm an ex USAF pilot). The 300ZX TT in my opinion is a lot more car than my current ZR. I paid 35,000 back in 1991 for it and 38,000 for my 2004 ZR last December. I still enyoyed driving my ZR, but not as much as my 300 ZX TT!!!

I had a 97 DOHC Neon 5MT, never had any problems with it, as a matter of fact after 93k it still had the original brake pads and clutch. The car was light and tossable and hard to get into trouble with, other than the wife saying "I don't like the mountain roads". All in all, my Neon was never as bad as most people thought they were. No rattles, seats and interior staid together well. Sold it to my brother for $800 and now he loves it.

Now here is the funny part, there is this down hill cloverleaf onramp near my house with a metering light at the bottom that is never on. My goal in life BZ was to beat my buddy who crossed that line doing 54 mph in his Eclipse. No matter how hard I tried in the Neon, 49 was the best it would do. Over and over again with different techniques and lines, and still the same result. I get the Z and try it and had an easy exit speed of 59 on my second try.
I love my Z

my first car and last car prior to the 04 redline z was a 1989 turbo supra. sold it with 120,000 miles on it, got it with about 85,000. great car to drive around, it got a lot of looks with the still nice nice factory paint job(think i had like one chip...lol) and sweet wheels. Still miss the turbo sound, but not the monthly repair schedule. Z is just a TAD faster

Well, the Z is an additional vehicle and will be my daily driver. My previous/current other fun vehicle is a 2003 Ford Lightning. I have been modding it this year and have some good numbers with it:

434 HP/513 TQ SAE Smoothing = 5 Dynojet

12.795 @ 108.3 MPH on a 1.93 60ft (Stock F1 tires).

The Z of course is a different animal. There is no comparison off the line with the Torque the Lightning has. The Lightning is a brick with 4 wheels though, so the Z is so much fun in normal driving situations. The Lightning leans a lot in the turns while the Z feels solid.

My plans for both vehicles next year is a high 11 sec Lightning and a low 13 sec Z. The Lightning will continue to be my drag vehicle since that is what it excels at.

I had a bmw 328i, absolutly loved the car. No problems at all with it...but 85k miles on it. I modded the car and it basically got me into the whole modified car scene. Sold it b/c i got a good offer for it and i wanted the Z. My next car will have to be a new m3 though.....

1993 Nissan pick-up. Still have it --> 135,000 miles and still going strong! A little more cargo space than the Z, but not as fun

1997 Dodge 1500(traded for another pickup)
1998 Nissan Sentra(still own)

87 Mazda RX-7 Turbo (Still Have) & a Jeep Wrangler( fo the winter months). The RX-7 is lighter and with suspension improvements is much better handler. The Z has a better exhaust tone, and more torque. The rotary motor is still better in concept, and will continue to garner my admiration.

Silverstone S13 with SR20DET and Silvia front end conversion.....

Pretty nice car but I craved the reliabilty and chick appeal only a newer car coiuld provide.

My first car was a 1997 Honda Accord LX. It was burgundy. Installed an exhaust, headers and intake. It was an auto so I didnt feel much excitement. It was a purchase.

My second car was a 2000 Toyota Celica GT. It was red. It was a 5 speed. Installed a TRD exhaust. The TRD exhaust not is great. Again didnt feel much excitement. It was a lease.

My third car was a 2002 Toyota Celica GTS. It was carbon blue. The VVT-IL was great but lasted for a short time. Installed TRD exhaust and cai intake. I liked the car but it was a lease.

Now 2003 Dodge HEMI Ram 1500 QC. Nice truck. Installed a cai intake. I have a 2004 350Z Base. This car is great. The Z is stock. The only downer is that it was crashed while parked by my house. I got it back had a few issues but a great job was done restoring the Z back to life. I may be trading up to a 2005 Z but financially I cant at the moment.

02 SE-R...not a Spec and auto. Easy decision to switch to a Z. Huge jump in performance and ride. This one will be a keeper...except when the Skyline comes stateside.

2000 Camaro SS. I had all the bolt ons plus stage to heads and cam. The Camaro would smoke my Z in a straight line. Handling was about the same (I had a bunch of suspension on the SS).

I liked the Camaro but its a very crude instrument. Kind of like comparing a chain saw to a scalple. I'm very happy with the Z. Its a million times better looking, handles a bit better, better build quality.

I went from a 1990 acura legend to the Z. So ya, it was quite a jump. I still have it tho, it's a good, reliable car and will get me thru winter just fine while the Z is parked

1998 Honda Prelude (VTEC) to a 2000 Audi TT Quattro to a 2001 Honda S2000 to a 2003 350z.

The Z is the best of them all, but sometimes I miss the fit and finish of the Audi and the pureness of the S2K.
