BE WARNED!!! TheBlackPearlZ is a fraud and scammer!!!
Sure paypal can put a negative balance on them but I think the worst that can happen there is it goes into collections and then some person starts calling them periodically to annoy the crap out of them to pay (kind of like when you are late on CC payments) but it's not like a lien or anything that actually forces them to pay or takes money out of their account.
You know, I think blackpearlz posted that on the other forum so that he can try to win those from there. I'm sure he hasn't gotten any money back due to the investigation. I would think that the people that got scammed would get their money before anybody else.
What did you bank/cc holder say??? f*ck paypal, they ain't worth ****, just as dave stated... they are only worth the 2 cents they deposit into your acct when they verify it... nothing more...
What about that internet commerce government agency? Have they said anything?

I don't think Alex cares whether it is us or a lawyer harassing him - guy is living in a dream world and so far seems to be getting away with it. I don't think a lawyer can do anything more than what has been done, except of course charge for his services. Still hoping PayPal or the CC/Bank comes through for these guys.
FUC1K this whole thing, i really wish we can do something all together, get our money back and send this douche into jail.....
Hey Guys... This guy tried to scam me...
I had a thread on Wanted for Diamond Black CE28s. Same type of situation as the Poster.
He never replied to my thread, but did PM me saying that "his friend" had a set. He stated his friend was from Indiana, but was stationed in NC. He gave me a cell number (Probably his own) to call. I talked to someone (probably him) about the set of wheels.
The friend seemed to be pretty cool. As a buyer I asked for him to send pics. He delayed of course... Saying his old pics were at home in Indiana and not in NC with him. Through out this time he kept pushing on sending the payment. The deal I wanted to do was for him to take off the rear tires (since I did not need them) and sell the set of wheels with the front tires. I never confirmed for them to take off any tires since I wanted the pics first. So all of a sudden I get a text saying that he had his friend (Blackpearlz) took off the rear tires. I asked him why he did that, since I never got any pics. The guy finally sent the pics, but as a cautious buyer, i noticed that the cars plates was from CA.
I questioned him immediately and said that I will pass. At that time I knew he was trying to scam me. The friend started to try to throw a guilt trip on me by saying that his friend (blackpearlz) took the time to take off the two tires and I am not going to buy. He gave me a lame excuse that he was stationed out in CA for a bit, yadda... yadda... I told him to prove they were his and take more pics of them. He declined to do that, so I passed on the wheels... So glad I did...
I guess i am one of the lucky ones...
Good luck bro

You could also find the ip of the e-mail that was sent via your e-mail host... and if it matches the same one john has then its the same guy again...

I saved the email...
As you can see from the first pic, it is a CA license plate. I zoomed in with photo editinge tool to confirm and i also pulled up Indiana and NC plates. They do not even look remotely close to those plates. I gave him a chance and asked him for more personalized pics... like his sn on a piece of paper to prove they were his. only shots of a supposedly owned car. He just said "forget it, it's not worth my trouble"
His name was Alex. Mods.. if you want more info on his email addy, etc. Please PM me.
I also still have original text messages from him.
So glad you guys made this thread...
