Default Adding Cruise Control To A Base?

Hey guys I have a 2008 base model and I just upgraded the steering wheel with the audio control and cruise control options. I knew that the cruise buttons wouldn't do anything when I added them but I like the fact that it makes my Z look like an upgraded model. My question is, can I get the ecu (or whatever it is) reflashed to accept the cruise control, or am I SOL?
Thanks for the help.

P.S. I HAVE SEARCHED FOR AN ANSWER TO THIS, BUT COULDN'T FIND A DEFFINATIVE ANSWER.

Wow. LOL you switch to "upgraded" steering wheels for looks. Can you say poser? Look that up on dictionary.com.

I seriously can't believe this is a real question? Can't be. No one is this retarded.

Seriously!? I'm not "possing" and I didn't buy a whole new steering wheel, just the two pieces with the audio and cruise controls. I'm not trying to be a "poser" I just liked the convience of the audio controls, and figured if the cruise could be make to work also, then why not?

Q. How can I add Cruise Control to a Base model Z?

A. You can't. Apparently nobody can. The Z is "drive-by-wire". The throttle plate is controlled electronically by the ECU. You can't add a physical device to the throttle plate to allow external control. You can't plug up a steering wheel from a Z that has cruise and get it to work on a Base.

The Z has been out for almost 5 years now and to this date, no one has produced an aftermarket add-on product or hacked some method of making cruise work on a Base. Considering how few Base models that have been sold over the years, there's not much of a market for such a device.

I don't think it gets much more definitive than this...
