my hatch rattle was bothering me a lot. finally decided to look up how to adjust it and its super simple. no more rattle, and that was the only thing rattling in the car. now its pretty quiet inside, and im loving it. so i have to change what i hate about it...which at the moment is nothing. haha!

The gas cap cover. Out of all the complaints I could muster this is the biggest. It always feels like I'm about to break it when I open or close it.

I used OEM, all but gone, only when cold and a fast down-shift attempted.

Yeah Ive read threads on the differences in OEM and Redline, which made me buy the OEM. But I will give it a try, if one doesn't work I can always switch to the other one.

Did the transmission fluid flush/Change this weekend. It helped with the other gears but 5th is still grinding. I will try the redline in next, while I do some more research. thanks for the advice.

When I changed the fluid to OEM it literally did not change at all. Put in Redline a few months ago when I changed my diff and it really did make a big difference. I couldn't believe that fluid would help relieve a grinding issue but it did in my experience.

No where near as notchy as with the OEM fluid. Only thing is it takes a little longer to heat up than the OEM, which is not really a problem anymore since summer is almost here.

+1 on redline fluid, i tossed in a mix of mt90 and some left over amsoil manual syncromesh - created this awesome concoction.

I didn't have any grinds prior even with oem, but with this new fluid the transmission feels like a different car altogether, all the shifts are buttery, 1st to 2nd gear shift is so easy now it make me smile.

oh, the transmission tunnel doesn't heat up as much as well (with oem fluid i'd notice the carpet area around the tranny would get hot), now it stays cool throughout.

It feels like I have less drivetrain loss too, butt dyno definitely felt power gain.

but i swapped all fluids to redline;

Engine ; 0w30 redline
tranny; mt90 / amsoil syncro mixture
diff: redline gearlube

Anyone who wants to rejuvenate their car needs to do this asap.

im using redline mt-85 in the transmission, and the 75-90 in the diff (i believe). ive always used Redline in my transmissions, and it always works great. no need to change if it works! i use Pennzoil Platinum in my engine though. when i got the car i didnt know what it had in it, or how long, so i swapped to pennzoil semi-synth and then changed again early to Platinum. Car seems much happier now. just feels better...even though i know i shouldnt be able to tell a difference. probably a placebo effect.

oh...i have something i hate about my car...window motor! passenger side needs to be reset. i hate not being able to auto-up the window without it going down halfway. i will fix that soon...

Maybe I am too short, but the seatbelt rests right on my neck. If I was to wreck badly, my head will be severed.

How tall are you? I am 5'7 and have no issues.

You know you can adjust the seat belt holder right?

I'm 5'8 and have the same problem, the adjuster is set all the way down, but even then, it's not low enough.

You guys must have really stumpy torsos. I'm 5'7" and the seatbelt sits perfect at the lowest setting.

^agree lol, and the sunglass holder by the map lights that rattled and drove me nuts... some foam tape fixes it tho.
