Moisture inside headlight casing, is this normal?
Hey guys i woke up this morning and went out to get the car ready to go and notice some moisture or condensation on the inside of the headlight casing on the driver side (it also has what looks like an oily film on the inside but ive noticed it before and it is always there)...so i took it to my dealer today and they told me it was normal to get moisture in there, doenst sound right to me but i have no experience with HID's and xenons...what do you guys think?
I also had condensation when I first bought the car. Its been summer and I haven't noticed it recently. Might return during the winter rains. I also had Krinkov put plastic film on the lights to prevent chips. This has worked well.
hey i have had the car a month and the othermorning was the first time i have the seen the moisture, it is starting to get cold here at night so that might be a reason!
Jackwhale post some more info on that plastic is sounds like a great idea!

Krinkov is a member of the forum. He's quite knowledgeable and skilled at applying the 3M clear film. A couple of friends have this and they have no stone chips on the bumper. I already had stone chips on the front bumper, so I had him install the film over the headlights. Headlights are very expensive to replace.
Hi, I just got my 2004 track (built Oct 2003) and I got moisture under the headlights after washing the car today. So in case you wondering if this was something that would be fixed it has not. I don't think this should be a normal situation esp if it can freeze. Anyone else noticing this after washing the car?
